It is related because people are adopting the use of VPNs to bypass the restrictions imposed as part of the Online Safety Act, which is why AW made the changes and now the government is raising concerns that children are using VPNs and want to restrict their use. I am sure that all the websites raised these concerns during the consultation phase.
If a government official says "It's sunny today" or the "King is opening parliament on Tuesday", do you consider that to be political? Personally, I don't.
Please feel free to move my post to the Politics thread if you feel that's the appropriate place for it.
The government trying to put an age restriction on VPNs is to stop children accessing porn NOT Adultwork and an age restriction on VPN's does NOT affect anyone on this site, we are all able to age verify in the same way as we have for other sites.
This is your final warning, post anything political anywhere other than in the politics thread and you will be banned.
If you aren't sure if it's political or not err on the side of caution and post it the politics thread.
BTW the "A government spokesperson said" quote is only a very small part of the article but it does show it's a discussion with the government and the IS political.
