Some free galleries are quite good but others are blurred. Some accounts are blurred when logged out and some are blurred even when logged in. Some are also not blurred when logged out.

From Spain and Italy it works sometimes and some other times it doesn't

By "works" I mean that it shows pictures with no blurring and no authentication required.

My Twitter used to have loads of adult content including local escorts, but now it's ruined. I can't even see how to age verify on Twitter. Supposedly it will be another week before age verification for twitter is established.

I strongly recommend that you call the CC providor & say that you've lost your card, half inched
Otherwise with a new replacement the previous card can in certain circumstances continue to work for a while

Cancelling the card & starting again with a new number entirely could be a plan
If its not an important CC i'd ponder cancelling it all together

VS has its uses, you just have to cross-reference with here e.g. if someone here has seen an established WG who uses it and the photos are accurate.  There's also some outfits/crews in London who stick up pics on there that are broadly accurate.  The rest can fuck off though, especially the Chinese con merchants.

No it won't.
AW serve the photos "in clear" and then apply a filter if you're not verified. The VPN (and a few other workarounds) bypass the filters and show the untouched files. But basically everyone gets the same photo whether it's filtered or not.
VS have two different sets of photos, one obfuscated one not. What you get served depends on whether you're verified - and there's no mechanism to bypass this.

Although most of these age verifications are trivial to bypass / spoof for anyone with a bit of web development knowledge (some sites will happily take web test data). I've either had or created a login for the majority of these sites ages ago like AW, VS and the hamster and hub type sites using something that passes their systems to verify my age and have had no problems so far. If I site wants me to pay I just won't use it.
I bet over time this will get sorted out as after all porn and gambling are still two of the most active uses of the interweb.
