We done with the handbags ladies?

Arguing on the internet is like the special Olympics, win, lose or draw your still a ....

Back slightly on topic.

I know 6 confirmed cases.

2 care home workers, 2 their spouses. It hit all 4 hard, one couple died. One couple survived.

1 ITU nurse, she had no symptoms, her family isolated, no symptoms, who knows who caught it (it was before they family eligible for tests.)

1 Teacher, had no symptoms, jumped on the eligibility out of curiosity and was surprised positive. She locked down with her cat.

I am 80% sure I had it with the whole house early on, prior to any of us being eligible to test. I still have an edge of a cough in the morning (makes you real popular out and about!)

I still take many precautions and appreciate the chances of catching it twice, or the potential that I havent had it at all.

I also appreciate that a great many households have not seen any cases, had a tremendous holiday at the tax payers expense in glorious weather. The population is fatigued over lockdown, its something that rang true when the Government resisted the initial lockdown and that will naturally push us all back towards old normality.

I for one am spending hours in the mundane work and increasingly out and about for work. If it wasnt for having to interpret the unique take each site takes on the H&S impact of Covid when I turn up anywhere, its business as usual. I havent punted, unlikely it will be something I could find time for in the coming months, I rarely found an adequate window prior to Covid. So I wont be having the mental tug of war. I do bloody want to though! ironic as I often go months without, yet it was something that was reassuringly available if I really needed it. That availability meant it was a choice to let it go by that I made.

Just my 2p on all the above, carry on ladies.

I know five people who have died because of the virus. Possibly six. It hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
That's not the only issue with the whole punt/don't punt debate. Once lockdown fully ends, some guys seem to think that it's safe to restart their lives as before. Ending lockdown simply means that the Government believes we've reached a stage where the NHS can cope with the weight of new cases. It doesn't mean that the virus has gone away or that there is a cure. It's still out there and people are still dying. Until there's a cure, I'm not going to take any risk I don't have to. I don't want to catch it or take it home to my family.

If you agree with the draconian measures of this lockdown then you should also agree with the banning of cigarettes, alcohol and junk food. The fact is mostly unhealthy people die of this virus. Yes, let's ban cigarettes, alcohol and junk food and force every fat lazy prick to do exercise everyday until they are in shape, ha-ha.  The government doesn't care about you, they are pretending they care but really they are just covering their own arses. To all you cocky twats in here calling up the statistics like it's some sort of holy scripture to warrant lockdown i'd like to say that the majority of the statistics were people that didn't take care of themselves.  I genuinely feel sorry for the older people, but to be frank you've had a good run at things so why are the young suffering just to delay the inevitable?

You are coming across as a bit of a self-centred cunt.

you are also wrong making the comparison with cigarettes, alcohol and junk food - these are all taken voluntarily by the individual; unlike the old lady who contracts it from a mutual acquaintance of a third party who is asymptomatic.

The old are human too and may have given much to society including hardships during the blitz; possibly more so than the ‘suffering’ younger generation who are having it sooooo hard during lockdown so protecting their life IMO takes priority over some fuckwit grabbing a paid-for shag.

Also, 'the old' may be an 80yr-old with 20, happy years left in the tank, they may have been great contributors to society over their many years, having helped build the country with their own blood, sweat and tears. The death of a young person and the unfulfilled life is especially tragic, but let's not in any way suggest that the old are expendable in some way.

They built this fucking country, let's give them some respect  :hi:

oh, get off your high horse you sanctimonious pleb.

The comparison with cigarettes etc is a fairly valid one, the point being that in this thing called life there is always a risk of something bad happening. Cigarettes are not always taken voluntarily and have this addictive substance in them called nicotine, not sure if you've ever heard of it? alcohol is also a highly addictive substance that can really fuck people up. Anyway,  a little old lady could be crossing a road and get ran over by a car.  the driver was drunk and smoking cigarettes. i think that we can all agree that this driver is just as much of a cunt as the asymptomatic person spreading the virus. So let's ban cars, cigarettes and assholes who drive recklessly.

Yes i agree with you that the old people did a lot for this country and I am pretty sure that they would hate to see everything they worked so hard to build get flushed down the toilet just because of 7% mortality rate piece of shit virus.

Wow ..... don't normally get sucked into these "grab the popcorn and sit back and watch" threads however your comments absolutely beggar belief.

You are either deliberately looking to fuel an argument or you have a very sad outlook on life.

I don't think I have ever disagreed with every point made in a post as much as I disagree with your approach. I am all for free speech and the right to express views on this forum however you are so far off the mark I am not sure you deserve the right to play ....  :unknown: :unknown:

It would be nice if you could embellish a little on what exactly you don't agree with?  I am all for freedom to post what you like, but at least tell me why you think i'm wrong instead of just telling me that you think I'm wrong.  My original post was a simple 'hey guys what's up with the coronavirus and I'm dying to have a punt', until some guys made some snarky replies. I obviously have some different view points to you and a few of the other members, but i know I am not alone on this one.

What does make me giggle is how easily offended some of you are.  This is a forum about punting for fucks sake.  Some of you write posts about forcibly sliding your cocks into women's mouths and making them gag all other the place and yet you get ticked off because i don't think this virus is as serious as what is being reported.  I just think that this lockdown is all for nothing.  The only way most of us aren't catching this is if we lockdown forever, because if it's as serious as they are saying then it's not going anywhere.  Are you prepared for eternal lockdown?

This and your other post are just the self-justifying drivel of a selfish man pursuing what he wants and ignoring any potential consequences for others.

You asked earlier whether we knew anyone who has died with CV-19, well yes I've seen far too many and every one of them taken prematurely, and every one of should have had precious weeks  months, of years with the people they love and who love them.

You do as you wish, but at least have the balls to concede that you're pursuing something selfish and non-essential that may have significant detriment for others.

I never said I wasn't being selfish.  Isn't punting a fairly selfish act anyway? Guess I'll just be double selfish. I am kind of justifying it to myself and yes it 'may' have significant detriment to others.  Punting has always run the risk of having serious detriment to others.  oh the hypocrisy of it all!

This isn't a battle, it's more like a lynching.  I've said my piece and obviously the little UK Punting clique doesn't agree.  That's fine by me.  I'm willing to leave this chat if you so desire. I regret resorting to name calling and childish bickering but sometimes it can't be helped.

Good luck with that, and good luck to everyone if there's a second wave of this because some people behaved irresponsibly and couldn't contain their urges for a bit longer.

I fear the worst because I can see that there are plenty of selfish, entitled people out there just like you who can't see the bigger picture and can only see personal inconvenience and the frustration of petty personal desires.

I can see why you would think someone is being selfish and putting personal desires first and not regarding the safety of others.  I think you pretty much summed up the whole punting game. It has always been a selfish act where we put our needs above others.  Do you think half these working girls want to get fucked by you?  by the way, were most of you punting in January?  if so then you were punting with the knowledge that there was a killer virus on its way to the UK, but you still carried on. we were definitely well aware of this virus by February but most of you still carried on punting.  In fact, recent reports have suggested that the virus was here around November last year.  So what's the difference if I go out there and punt now? Apart from because the government says it's not okay? But you're right, I am trying to justify it to myself because believe it or not guys I have stuck to the rules until now.

No I haven't punted at all this year. The early data from China (such as it was) was sufficient to indicate that this would be a serious global issue and we went into planning mode.

Okay, more than half!

My point is that you didn't go around punting at the start of the year, but most of the people in here probably did.  Coronavirus was still out there and it was just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than it is now. You all knew about it (it is literally all that is covered in the news these days), but still decided to throw caution to the wind and go out there and do your thing.

You are making assumptions just to try and justify yourself. Personally I cancelled a punt when it became obvious there was an issue and have not punted since.

I will be honest, I do find some of the reply’s on here quite comical...
We are all big enough to make our own decisions to protect our families, some may not agree but it would be boring if we all agreed on everything.

I find there is a lot of hypocrisy going on about protecting our front line workers. A football stadium set up for the Doctors and nurses, giving them somewhere to stay, to support them through this crisis. Meaning they can minimise the risk by not going home every night to their families people working there have reported that they are the worst at social distancing and are constantly being seen going in and out of each other’s rooms, emerging in the morning looking sheepish when seen.

I would have thought they would know better... but talking to a few doctors I know they think they are invincible and probably have had it anyway..

You are right, it is comical and in my opinion very hypocritical that a bunch of guys on a sex worker review forum would be lecturing somebody on health issues.  I cringe every time I read a post where a guy gets OWO because that spreads disease and is one of the reasons I always wear a condom but I don't really lecture people about it because we are all adults and can make our own decisions.

Some of us have lost friends and family to this virus. They had to die scared and alone because nobody was allowed to go near them. A single Mum who was a friend for years was only in her mid 40's. Her husband eventually died from wounds he got while serving his country in Afghanistan. She has left four fantastic kids with no parents. They're all alone in the world. But you don't give a fuck who gets it do you?!  Do you even know how this virus kills? One of it's favourite ways to kill you is to slowly suffocate you to death by killing off one section of lung after another. Bit by bit breathing is harder until it's just not enough. Even with oxygen masks.
It's perfectly clear that you're not going to change anyone's mind about you. Pretty much everyone thinks you're a self-centred fuckwit who could't give a toss if you get some of your own family killed so long as some skank will play with your cock for an hour.

There is no need to tell me how coronavirus kills people,  I have had my fill of scaremonger news reports.  I know of lots of ways people die, and usually it isn't pleasant for example; my father died of a serious brain tumour but this has got nothing to do with punting.  In your argument I should not punt incase I kill my family, therefore I should also not go to the supermarket or even leave my house in case I get coronavirus. Everything we do is now a risk to our health, so I'm just saying fuck it if this virus is a problem then it is going to spread whether we stay at home or not. It hasn't even been proven that everybody staying at home can stop a virus spreading. staying at home and minimising contact will only work for so long. we're all going to get it at some point and I say the sooner the better!

Your so-called argument is vacuous and frankly pathetic. Also, incoherent and factually incorrect.

Your dad didn't catch his brain tumour off someone else, did he?

Going to the supermarket and taking precautions when you do, is

a) necessary, and

b) low risk.

A bit different from paying for sex, on both counts, no?

How the fuck can staying at home make you catch the virus? You're talking utter shit.

Calling people names is nothing, and it goes both ways. But talking complete crap and trying to back it up with absolute drivel is unforgivable .

And posting all that as some kind of 'opinion' will deservedly get shot down in flames.

You do what you do, no-one can stop you, but don't be a cunt and try and justify it with some fucking bogus bullshit you made up to try and make yourself feel better about it. It just won't wash. FFS.

FFS.

I am not neither trying to justify myself nor have any reason to do so to you.

You can't guarantee that you will not catch the virus from going to the supermarket. The same goes for if you visit a prostitute.  So i'll say for the last time, fuck it.  Now if you disagree with that then that's fine.

Enjoy your evening.

Of course you do, you seek validation.

That's fair enough, and many of us are dying for a shag, myself included.

What really gets my goat though is when people post up demonstrably provable rubbish to justify what they know they shouldn't be doing. Some people are under misapprehensions, sometimes there are grey areas worthy of discussion (there's little certainty about many things at the moment), but the vast majority of these type of posts and the majority of the content of these posts is utter rubbish, and the poster knows they are utter rubbish.

The initial response from others will be questioning (or perhaps a little light sarcasm because it's a case of here we go again) and then the poster will become entrenched. It's the same with all those guys who have contributed fuck all over five years and then they post up asking who their first punt should be with after Lockdown. They'll obviously get challenged and then there'll be the outpouring of attitood.

If you have these thoughts (and deep down you know they're wrong) then posting up here for validation from fellow punters will encourage others to do the same.

I know full well some guys are punting but if you must, just get on with it yourself and don't encourage others. It's a bit like the Cummings business, very many people are on the edge, wavering, and then the govt's most senior adviser breaks the rules and before you know it all those waverers have cracked and when questioned over it they instantly justify their actions by citing what Cummings did.
First there was herd immunity, then there was herd instinct. If you think 'every other fucker's doing it' then you think 'why not me, why should I lose out?'

I don't believe in karma and you would have to be a horrible person to believe in that tit for tat nonsense.
Good job that I’m not a horrible person who thinks about others safety then; even you when reminding you to take care, of not for yourself but maybe (say) your OH’s parents who you out at risk by breaking lockdown advice.

i know people are getting angry , we just need to respect each others views ,  even if all of us do not agree with them,
The only person who I see reacting angrily is Arnold.

Banning was a tad harsh IMO. I was having some fun.

On a serious note, it’s important that we allow those thinking about punting during lockdown to articulate their thinking. In that way it can be challenged and hopefully rational comments may change otherwise risky behaviour.

Yeah I noticed that... I even had a message from a massage lass I’ve seen saying she was back on the 15th....

I noticed the R rate has increased, everyone’s basically back to normal or will be.. I haven’t punted yet, weirdly I’ve not been bothered these past two weeks.. If someone wants too though, I for one wouldn’t judge...

There's probably a few of us thinking along those lines

I watch and listen to the traffic (vehicles and voices) outside my window and it seems to me that the lockdown is over. With Cummings coming and going more or less as he pleases and the government saying it's ok to bend the guidelines according to your instinct. And with all these media reports of parties in the park and packed beaches over the last few bak holidays and weekends generally and no spike in the figures - I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to say, 'fuck it'. I certainly will no longer condemn anyone who has already said 'fuck it' and much sooner rather than later I'll be joining the 'fuck it' brigade.

I joined the ‘fuck it’ brigade when the government failed to condemn the BLM protests. They condemned the rioting and violence but kept very quiet on criticising the fact tens of thousands of protesters were stood shoulder to shoulder all over cities for days on end.

It seems being politically correct and not losing votes is more important than the COVID rules, so any corona virus guidelines can now be ignored as far as I’m concerned  :unknown:

I know the Guidelines from this shite of a government have not been good,  it a fucking mess really, since the cummings fiasco
but we all need to think and make sure we do our bit even though others have not , just to keep your family safe

Apparent spike in cases in leicester has put me off again. Was looking at making a booking for a massage in that area soon but im going to hold off.If im honest the urge to punt is slowly fading away.

I'm not rushing out anywhere.
I shop for food once a week,  wearing a mask, anything else I order online.
For all this govt's reassurances, there are still 120+ folks dying every day from it. Once you can count the deaths per day on one hand I'll think about relaxing a bit. Luckily I live in a sleepy backwater where the infection rate (according to stats) is pretty low but there'e no room for compacency in my book.

I doubt many of the BLM protesters vote Conservative
