Back slightly on topic.
I know 6 confirmed cases.
2 care home workers, 2 their spouses. It hit all 4 hard, one couple died. One couple survived.
1 ITU nurse, she had no symptoms, her family isolated, no symptoms, who knows who caught it (it was before they family eligible for tests.)
1 Teacher, had no symptoms, jumped on the eligibility out of curiosity and was surprised positive. She locked down with her cat.
I am 80% sure I had it with the whole house early on, prior to any of us being eligible to test. I still have an edge of a cough in the morning (makes you real popular out and about!)
I still take many precautions and appreciate the chances of catching it twice, or the potential that I havent had it at all.
I also appreciate that a great many households have not seen any cases, had a tremendous holiday at the tax payers expense in glorious weather. The population is fatigued over lockdown, its something that rang true when the Government resisted the initial lockdown and that will naturally push us all back towards old normality.
I for one am spending hours in the mundane work and increasingly out and about for work. If it wasnt for having to interpret the unique take each site takes on the H&S impact of Covid when I turn up anywhere, its business as usual. I havent punted, unlikely it will be something I could find time for in the coming months, I rarely found an adequate window prior to Covid. So I wont be having the mental tug of war. I do bloody want to though! ironic as I often go months without, yet it was something that was reassuringly available if I really needed it. That availability meant it was a choice to let it go by that I made.
Just my 2p on all the above, carry on ladies.
