Just guessing but i'd assume that any new royal baby would automatically have their DNA taken just in case something weird happened so they could prove whether it was the right child or not etc

The Firm arent exactly known for embracing the latest technology and anyway historically its probably been the  way that a bit of  more normal DNA has been introduced into the line

Take a sample as soon as the baby is born, any future allegations of the baby having been switched etc can be immediately refuted, obviously that has no bearing on who the father may or may not be but just that it's the royal baby regardless of parentage
