Marmalade mentioned in the film thread the movie Wrong turn 4. Crap film but I wanted to add.. the sex scenes were nice.
Trivia.. the girl having sex in the beginning was on Big brother. Good looking fit girl.
Over the years, ive seen and noticed many horror films especially the B grade ones usually have a nice sex scene with a good looking actress.
Wrong turn 4 is a good example and wishmaster 4.
I wish I can remember the rest..I've seen so many but tend to forget names of the b grade horror films.
I know the feeling. Couple of all-nighters at a horror film festival and it's hard to remember the name of one that finished at 1am when getting a burger in the interval at 3am, much less a few months later.
I can sit through a
Wrong Turn 4 knowing exactly what will be dished up even if it's not as polished as
Last House on the Left or as cutting edge as a
Hellraiser. No thinking cap necessary as with a
Nightmare Alley. Just a side step from
Chucky or
Toxic Avenger. Stuff that's in a b-movie genre of its own. Gore and nudity just wash over the screen like a heavy metal alternative to Songs of Praise. I bet seeing an actress on Big Brother first might add to the enjoyment?
I can quite enjoy the tongue in cheek stuff as well, but some stuff I just find boring.
The Loved Ones (limited top-half nudity) for instance, an Aussie comedy-horror but the story and editing is just not slick enough to make the popcorn enjoyable; and I felt
Men was similarly a waste of space even if it was more professionally put together; but Sam Raimi's
Drag Me To Hell is a classic for many horror fans.
It's nice to have a bit of uncensored gash but the story has to be enough to justify the length. Most lists of 'explicit' films are so vague. What's explicit? I near jumped out of my seat like everyone else at the end of
Brown Bunny but was it worth wait? For me, I think we need a difference between men's cocks waving about (which doesn't interest me) and hot female characters getting realistic with their honey pots.
Importantly, the film should work at some level on its own merits I think, not just for the sex – otherwise the sex bits could probably be watched on hamster. Thirdly as some people have suggested, there's films that are unbelilevably hot even if the amount of explicitness was minimal (
Basic Instinct) or the small degree of nudity made up for by a hot atmosphere (
Eyes Wide Shut). Finally a separate category for ones that are explicit but not at all erotic (
Anatomy of Hell) or too edgy or basically nasty for most tastes. I expect we'll all have different preferences, but an interesting thread.
