Difficult to understand how it went from an excellent site with good information to what it is now, just by changing the management which is what has been suggested has happened.
I rang the usual number last Monday, hoping to fix an appointment for yesterday (that didn't happen!)
I actually got Hannah herself on the phone. She said that she had given up the agency and new management were taking over under the new name. The website was a work in progress and it would become clearer the following day. I could't get any more info as she told me that she had three other people on hold on other lines, and kept breaking off to answer other calls. Clearly the phone lines were going mental on Monday, and tbh I haven't bothered ringing since then.
My guess is that this has all happened in a rush, for whatever reasons, and the setting up of the new agency has been going a bit backside first. Let's hope for all our sakes that the new owners make a go of it.
It looks like they's got the girls and the clients, but need to sort out the premises and the website. The old website was pretty sophisticated and someone was probably charging a lot of money to host it. The new site looks home made but probably a lot cheaper to run. And don't forget that if the old agency had multiple tenancy agreements, then the new managers would have to get the landlords on side so as to get the tenancies transferred, or rejigged as appropriate etc.
It would be helpful if the new owners put some clarification on this site sooner than later, to cut down on the grumbles and the speculation. My reading of the posts on here over the last year show that, despite a few minor issues, Hannah and the old NNE had earned a huge amount of support, respect and affection from us clients, and the southern end of the North East region would be a sad place without them or a viable successor.
