Always wonder if the law will change on this especially around religion. Just a matter of time before some poor lady is on the receiving end of an attack after some religious nut finds out he's had sex with someone born male. Trans women should just declare it. Can't see it hurting them enough people don't care a jot and some of the ladies are very attractive. Have to agree with my fellow midlander Dolly lots of women look trans due to procedures and makeup the lines have started to blur.
I'm not sure how long it will take, but huge legal rights clashes surrounding this issue are definitely on the horizon.
On the one hand, the trans persons right to personal privacy. Their personal and medical records are confidential. In most situations they are under no legal obligation to declare any of those details. Additionally, in many circumstances, where it can be demonstrated that an action to their detriment most likely occurred as a direct result of knowledge of their circumstances, discrimination legislation can be applied in an attempt at recompense.
On the other hand. There are potentially many scenario's where that right to privacy impinges on the rights of another. Where withholding that information, failing to provide it voluntarily, will stray into criminally fraudulent behaviour.
The test case will be a the first occasion where a trans individual gets sued/prosecuted for marrying someone without revealing their history. In the UK it's currently a requirement that the trans person reveals those details before marriage. As far as I'm aware, so far, there hasn't been a case lodged where that didn't happen. When a case like that occurs, the precedent could easily open a whole can of worms.
