Not strictly on topic, but did anyone just see the report about Trans rights/tolerance on London Tonight?
When I tuned in it was showing a couple sitting on a couch. The "guy" was talking about his experience of transitioning into a man from being born a woman. And some stuff about initially thinking he was a lesbian. Could easily pass for a guy now, you wouldn't suspect a thing.
Sitting next to him is a fairly attractive blonde. I assumed they were going to say she was "his" lesbian partner who supported him through his transition. But then the wife speaks! Total jaw dropping moment, the voice could hardly be more masculine! "She" was previously a male military officer! Before "she" spoke, I never would have guessed it for a moment. Gobsmacked!
Don't know what's up with the media these days. Seems to a report like this on the news every night. Never mind all the special seasons, documentaries and dramas covering the issue. It's one thing to encourage tolerance, these days it seems more like they are promoting it as an alternative lifestyle choice!
