Very insightful, thanks for taking your time to post
Yeah a bit of a dumb fuck post rather than being constructive with specific things that could be done to improve things, also dumb to stick his head up like that given his prolific contribution on here

When accessing reviews in a Region from the Home Screen all reviews are shown with there rating Positive/Neutral/Negative.

When accessing reviews via the small “New” button at the end of the name of each region, the screen displays those reviews with new content but doesn’t display the original rating unless accessing the individual reviews.

im sure it was made with the best of intentions but if it ain't broken don't fix it. it looks terrible.

The home button, and the log out button, are really close to each on on a phone screen, I sometimes logout, when meant to hit the home button!

The choice to use the classic view seems to "time-out"  after a few hours so refreshing screen drops you back to the new interface  :dash:

I'm not aware of any setting I changed on my Kiwi browser to delete selective cookies or data and everything else from all my browsing on this site and every other has hung around months until I manually clear data.

That's what drove me to just start using the new interface it was winding me up so much. And you know what I'm glad I did. After I got used to it I actually find it way better.

I used to be able to click on a profile (my own) and see a link to my reviews.  I don’t see that on the new mobile site.

Well done! I am very impressive.

On a mobile with sub 720 on the short side in portrait as programmed the adaptive scaling of font size enlarges to (very) large, filling space and increasing legibility but limiting info displayed. Above 1080 on my device it doesn't enlarge text so much but spaces everything out so not as legible but still wastes space and reduces glanceable info, so all round worse than classic view.  Other layout choices (noted by others) make it harder to see key unfo because font choice and use of bold or italic does not contrast enough and also hampers what was easier to identify as clickable and click it.

Classic also has it's issues with scaling but the breadcrumbing for multipage threads, titles and subtitles and member details to left of posts is easier to spot and navigate and wastes less space. And eliminates all the endless scrolling introduced in the new design.

Redesigning for a physically smaller portrait screen needs to be much more thoroughly considered when migrating from a much larger pc landscape design and how you can/want to give access to layered and filterable info using new features and functionality that may be available so many years after the original design.  You may be able to use drop downs and popouts to select what to show whilst controlling the display of blocks of text like thread headings and posts in the underlying window more consistently. Maybe that's not possible in this forum platform  :unknown:

Every page within a thread seems to have the avatar of the latest poster, tiny and floating in the top right

This could be unrelated but ever since the mobile site integration, the screen below is a daily occurrence… any ideas?

Can I please ask that the search function is improved. It's as useful as outlook search which is saying something.  Today I searched for my town and it came up with places hundreds of miles away and not anywhere near the same spelling.

Honestly my biggest bug bear is the automatic pop up advert when I simply press the “login” button after navigating to the site. I pay for a membership which is supposed to be ad free, circumventing that by forcing a pop-up-in-new-window advert before logging in is a bit underhand.

Membership has never included an ad-free experience, so there's nothing being circumvented. In fact, there are three ad positions on every page of the site, so it's hardly a secret that advertising is part of how the site operates.
As for the login advert, it appears before you've logged in. Until that point, the site doesn't know whether you're a member or not, so there's nothing remotely "underhand" about it.
It's perfectly fair to say you don't like the advert. It's much harder to argue that it's somehow depriving you of a membership benefit that has never existed.

I find if I follow a link to an AW or Birchplace page in a new tab, coming back to UKP tab, I am logged out. This happens sometimes not always.

Just wondering, would it be possible to implement a "Top Reviewed" deal. Either by percentage or sheer numbers. I think it would help a lot when people leave their usual stomping ground. Gives them a good idea of who to see and that
