I was only thinking a week or so ago whether the ball has ever hit the spider cam thingy and wouldn't it be a laugh if players actually tried to take the fucker out 

Well the snickometer / chip thingy inside the ball apparently didn't register but i did see some other (presumably AI generated) 3D view which did tend to indicate that the ball did change direction slightly, then again i've also seen a digitally enhanced version of the 66 goal where the back of the net actually bulges 

So what if it hit the cam, it's the same for both sides to deal with when the ball comes down to earth 

As above it's excuses and clutching at straws and England should know about that as we've had decades of that shit blaming being unlucky and things that have happened which robbed us

And yes they should have had a clear 2nd goal if the other player had passed to Haaland, that was what lost it for Norway and a fucking gift to England

I'm thinking we have had some luck this time to make up for some of the previous bad luck but the thing with luck is that it can and does suddenly run out, Tuchel was right to say we need to get better and we got lucky

The difference is that CR7's red was incurred in the qualifying tournament run by UEFA and he served the automatic one-match ban - in the last qualifying match. It was the additional two matches for violent conduct that were suspended.  I thought this red was soft, but probably correct a he did lash out against the player pulling his shirt. Not sure an elbow to the back merits a 3-match ban though.

By my calculations, this will now mean we have 16 groups with 4 teams per group.  If a 64 world cup goes ahead, I think this means, all third place teams wioll go through to the next round

I can see teams finishing in first place, and the best 8 second place finishers, being seeded, and dont need to play the next round.   Third place teams play of against each other, and winnners play the remaining second place teams, and become unseeded, and play a seeded team

Anyone who's played football will know that for years, forwards have always played 'on the shoulder' of defenders.
It's become almost impossible to do that now, and stay level with the last defender.
I never thought I'd see the day when players were offside by an eyelash.
At times it's made the game a laughing stock.

Agreed, offside decisions are crazy now, especially when they take a long time to decide. Just give the attacker the advantage in close decisions.

Soo pleased that Spain a proper national team with Spanish born players a good number of whom play in La Liga [Barca well represented] leads to cohesion beat the Africa Korps [AK]
