Reading some of the messages on this thread takes my mind back almost 30 years. I 'did some work' for somebody, and 'got repaid' in the time-honoured fashion!
A lady that I knew lived in London. She was an SP, but she kept it very quiet; she didn't know that I knew she was an SP, and I wasn't going to tell her I knew.
I knew her as a 'friend of a friend', and on one occassion we were talking about computers and emails (all 'dial-up' and 'modems' in those days). A week or two later she said she'd bought a modem and could I come and fit it to her computer. Of couse I said 'Yes'.
A third friend, who I _did_ know was an SP, told me about working with a girl in London who had a flat with a dungeon room, and whenever she had an MFF booking it was always the third friend who was the second 'F'.
I turned-up to the flat, and tried to install the modem, but it would not fit properly. I explained the problem and said I'd get a replacement and come back. She was most thankful, and I got a HJ!
Two weeks later and I go back again, and get it all set-up for her, and spent a few hours that evening showing her how it all worked. She even made dinner for us both, and when I was helping her in the kitchen I discovered some cupboard doors that were hanging-off. For fixing her computer I got a BJ!
A few weeks later she went away on holiday for 3 weeks and asked me to check-on her flat a few times each week - lights going on and off, removing the mail from the letter-box, the usual things. Prior to her going away I went to collect a set of keys, and that's when she sheepishly admitted to me that she was an SP. I told her that I knew already, it wouldn't affect our friendship, and I certainly wasn't going to tell anybody. At that point she showed me one of her spare rooms which was all kitted-out as a dungeon. And she was surprised when I said I already knew about the dungeon!
So, while she's away I make several trips to check out her flat, and I fix the damaged cupboard doors, did some painting in the kitched and one of the bedrooms, and fixed the plumbing in the toilet cistern. I didn't tell her I'd done the work, but I (deliberately) left a paint-brush and pot of paint in her kitchen.
When she came back I arranged to go see her to return her keys, which is when she asked me about the cupboard doors, the painting, and the repaied toilet. She was very thankful, and as 'payment' she insisted that I spend an evening in her dungeon for all the 'usual fun and games'. Naturally, I didn't put up much opposition!
Sadly, the whole dungeon-scene didn't really do anything for me, but she used the evening as a training session to try out some new things.
