I have installed a VPN. My full acess to AW is now restored, thanks. But i am blocked from UKP when using the VPN.  Does it depend on the country I am using on the VPN?

Edit: OK to access ukp from Netherlands but blocked if accessing from Japan

Been with NordVPN since last year and the speed has been fine. Currently accessing UKP via Albania (the reason why Albania was chosen is so I don't get to see adverts on YouTube).

The only downside is that torrent speeds are limited but all in all it's been good.

That's what I thought. 

I think the act is a good idea, but it is way too easy to bypass the restrictions. Perhaps sites will start blocking the IP ranges used by the VPNs to stop them being used?

Some are free and some you pay for. If you have Norton 360 for antivirus, then it comes with a VPN and you just need to turn it on. You can buy Norton 360 for 5 devices for £11.50 on Amazon with a download code, so you don't need to wait for anything to arrive in the post.

I think they should just have one verification method that you can use for all sites. Kind of like a VPN, it doesn't change your location but let's the site know you're verified.

The very nice people at Proton mail offer free unlimited VPN External Link/Members Only

The free one has some limitations - only one device, and it doesn't let you choose a country.
But still quite fast. Speed tests indicate speeds almost identical to that without the VPN on.

Has a chrome extension as well if you just need a browser with VPN.
I created 3 additional accounts today, to bypass their 1 device per free account limit

It does override any other VPN's that are installed such as Norton but it can be easily disconnected.

Yes, the face scan option popped up for me on VS. It came up as the first option. I didn't have to search for it ... so if u are having issues finding it, sorry, I can't recall any details now. All v quick and simple for me.

I think you first have to join AW to get a Nick name etc, then do the verification thing. I used to have an account with them, but it reactivated in the last 'purge'. When I tried to reactivate it,  AW never send the link to do so!

The only problem I have found using proton if it is switched on is when I go on some another websites to purchase something because the server comes from the Netherlands I get quoted Euros as the cost instead of £ as they think I'm based in the Netherlands but this no problem just temporarily move the server back to UK.

If you're on a desktop, just create different browser profiles, one with vpn and one without.

Looking at some of the ratings for all these free VPN's some of them had a better rating than Norton's VPN . Proton certainly had a better rating

Now it wouldn't surprise me, if something is done about this, but not right away, but maybe in around 6 months, in some sort of amendment to the bill.   Could the companies that operate VPN come under this bill just like most of the adult sites

For example Nord VPN is based out of Panama & the parent is based in Holland which could be moved easily
The dutch Govt wont want to precipitate this given the high profile of the business [cutting edge IT] & the amount of tax revenue that it generates
So will do nowt to prejudice NVPN's position

IMO the UK Govt will quietly let the dust of the shambles settle
Legal challenges will come thick & fast on VPNs
As if GCHQ dont use very elaborate VPNs
I mention shambles as most kids over the age of about 10 will have worked out what to do
& its drawn more attention to porn rather than reduce it

The Govt will be pleased as the utterly useless new bill has taken the cluster fuck of the MOD data breach off the front pages, phew TFFT

The porn sites could block the IP addresses used by the VPN companies, so that traffic from VPNs would be blocked on the porn sites.
