Is that anecdotal?

I don't recall many members on here who discussing that they have caught an STI.

Three people in this thread alone said they caught an STI but they were doing OWO. All the other threads on this topic I saw said the same thing. Please understand I am not here to argue, I am simply enquiring, being inquisitive and trying to work out the chances of catching something whilst using a condom. Of course I am looking into the different types of STIs and the all the data surrounding them, but sometimes I just want to hear the first hand experiences people have had in this lifestyle.

To me, those don't seem like the words from a man that:

If you are not so worried why start a thread about it?  If you are genuinely worried, the best we can all do is accept that:

I’m sorry but I really don’t know what you mean by all that. I am very worried about catching an STI, but you seem to think I’m not? What I said was, people seem to be very honest on here about what they’ve caught in the past. Maybe you have misunderstood my messages.

Just out of interest, what are your thoughts on the chances of catching something with a straight female (as a straight male) when always using protection? I do really want to try it again, and I know I’m overthinking, but hearing people’s experiences of sleeping with hundreds of people with protection and never catching anything does make me feel reassured of how small the chances are.

I think the chances are slim to none. But I think that there are some matters which you can check which may help reinforce your feeling of control over the risk - which to my ear sounds like where your problem actually is.

1. Check the condoms you are using have a suitable kite mark. A lot of SPs will have them provided for them from clinics etc. There's no harm in asking an SP ahead of booking which brand she uses so you can check.
2. Practice putting your johnnie, nodder, sheath etc on yourself.
3. Ask about lube.

A properly fitted condom used correctly with a vagina that isn't like sandpaper will remove pretty much all risk of anything that can be prevented by wearing one.

I am looking at it from my own perspective, that is why I researched the stats around HIV with females and quoted same. I don't let men dressed as women fuck me, hence no stats on that, you can do your own research.

The OP asked for our view, I am merely giving my view, which you appear have a problem with. A but hypocritical given you too partake in other risky services.
I don't see where the hypocrisy is, I haven't once questioned your decisions or attitude to risk. I merely stated that I thought your thoughts on the risk of HIV transmission being "vastly exaggerated" were wrong.

And I have done the research, if I hadn't why would I be bringing the differentials up?

I stand by everything I've said. Including that you should sort out your attitude to risk whilst you are using the brain in your head - and not when all the blood has left it.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Tradesmen qualify through apprenticeships.
Professionals qualify through memberships of a chartered body of some kind, e.g. the Inns of Court.

Not totally as black and white as that as obviously it's possible to do a degree course in a subject without joining a chartered body

Errrr It is black and white in the eyes of court ... :hi:
 :( :(
I had several hearings prior to a court case I was deemed a Professional as (anyone that is paid is) I recived payment I was not Quailfide or a member of a trade body guild or chartered. it cost me just under a grand that day to hear that and a few other Latin phrases ....The name Solicitor is given to a person who solicits ( looks/seeks for ) for work in the Law ..Ive seen signs in SanFrancisco bay which read "No Solicting" I surpose that the term looking for business can also be applied  ;) Thats why bodies control the competencey of persons engaged in what ever from Law to Gas man and pilot(opps that one and paid for driving is a can of worms remember the Piolt that crashed with the football player he was a quailyfide pilot but not allowed to be a professional paid pilot  :unknown:....I`d better stop now

I don't think a court would not refer to you as a "Professional", unless you had a recognised qualification, or you had a substantial track record in a given area, e.g. a Professional Musician who would have received payment in a professional capacity.

Anyone in opposition to your side would challenge that nomenclature.

They would more likely refer to you as an "expert", but I doubt a professional.
