Saw this mentioned whilst looking for something else and made me think. So while I'm digging this thread up, thought it better than starting a new one.
Why do some WGs wait until the exact time to send you the house/flat or room number though? This is especially annoying in a hotel or a big block of flats, as it could take you time to go in the lift, find the room etc. Maybe because they don't want you there before they are ready, understandable, but surely the time shoudn't start until you enter the room at the very least? I've found this is not always the case though. I've experienced the time starting when I've got the 'ready, here is my room number' text and also when you first step foot inside the door (but have to take a required shower by her!). Never had the time start after coming out of the shower.
In one of my first punts I made the mistake of thinking I'd got extra time when I was early to the punt and the lady said she was ready for me. Needless to say she just took that time off the end instead. Another lady was very relaxed about the time which was good, although I was perhaps a little naive when we were chatting at the start and I asked about the time and perhaps we should get started and she said not to worry, relax. Ok great, she clearly doesn't have anyone lined up after me and isn't worried about the time, I assumed. But then at the end when I looked at the time, it was almost bang on, so her 'relaxing chat' was included after all.
Now I just send a text 10 minutes before to say I've arrived, and let me know when they are ready, no rush. One time when I got to the room the lady said she was glad I sent her the text as she had forgotten about the booking and had only arrived at the hotel a short time ago!

All learning experiences!
