Vivastreet profiles with "ID Verified"

VS is notorious for having lots of fake profiles and B&S profiles.

Do profiles with "ID Verified" mean these can be trusted to be of the SP in the photos?

In what ways are these profiles more trustworthy, if at all, to those that don't have it?

Oddly enough I was considering the same question just a few minutes ago, in the context of this profile:

I don't know the answer, but my assumption would be that all that "18+ ID Verified" tells us is that the hooker in question has sent Vivastreet a scan of her passport or driving licence, perhaps accompanied by a fresh photo with a new date on it or whatever.

Vivastreet has never shown any interest in checking that the photos on an ad are of the advertiser, so once a girl is verified she is presumably free to upload any photos she likes for public viewing.

In the case of Deea, a search on Google Lens suggests that the photos she displays on Vivastreet come from a lingerie catalogue.  So it is safe to assume that the girl on the passport used for age verification is not the same girl – and that if I trotted off to Bedhampton this afternoon, as I was half thinking of doing just for the craic (oo-er, missus), the girl who opened the door would be the girl on the passport seen by Vivastreet but not by us; and not the girl in the lingerie.

I see there is now a “check-box” you can tick while searching on Viva, so that you can, if you want, get only “18+ ID Verified” profiles in your results.

To my surprise this option brought up 23 hits in Portsmouth.  But the verified profiles are illustrated by the usual photos of improbably glamorous girls with big bazongas, so there's nothing to suggest that the pictures on a profile in the verified selection are more likely to be of the girl who opens the door than would be the case with an unverified profile.

Also, in spite of Viva’s having insisted on Strawbs including a face picture on her profile if it was to show as verified, there are a number of my Portsmouth “verified” results that don’t have a face pic – for example:

(Puzzlingly, the home address of Katy, aka Cleo, the girl on the fourth profile, is given as inside the HM Naval Base.  I guess that's why she only does outcalls.  Perhaps she's the Chief Petting Officer.)

But the central problem with the site remains that it doesn't suit their business model to have procedures in place to try to ensure that the pictures on profiles are of the advertisers.  They probably think (and probably correctly) that if non-genuine photos were banned there would be half as many escort ads on the site. 

However I would counter this by suggesting that, if they gained a reputation for "honest" profiles, they might make more money in the long run.  Who knows?

The nature of the enquiries that VS attracts is something I've heard about from other WGs as well. Still seems to be happening.

I wonder why it is like that ?

Maybe it's because it's more visual and there isn't an expectation of people reading anything or the high level of obvious fakes makes people act badly ?

I think it's simple demographics.
1) VS is easier to search than AW so attracts the less capable kind of client.
2) In general girls advertising on VS are cheaper than girls advertising on AW, attracting less affluent clients. (There's surprisingly little overlap between the two sites nowadays)
3) VS has more foreign girls than AW - resulting in clients adopting a more aggressive demeaning attitude toward the girls

But they have the same main photo on their profiles!

Deea – whom I mentioned in a post of a week ago, quoted above – is supposedly 27, Spanish, and located in Bedhampton. 

Amy is supposedly 25, Brazilian, and located in nearby Purbrook.

We can, however, be pretty confident that in fact the girl in the main photo for each profile isn't located within thousands of miles of south Hampshire.

So much for Vivastreet’s “18+ ID Verified” system!
