Anybody else getting issues tonite with searching escorts/massages on VS.. ? My browser used to go automatically to the pages in my area but VS won't let me search finer than just Wales today .. rather than postcode level like yesterday.. pain on the arse

Yeah no profiles were showing for Blackpool earlier just Lancashire, last time I looked I c=got 5 profiles.

This happened a few times earlier in the year, think Scutty seemed to know why so i'm sure he'll post the reason

They seem to have IT issues quite often,last week my search for particular towns only specified a small area within that town.
I had to click the header that came up to see what I'd asked for.

I prefer to type North West then filter according to my preferences but it returned NW postcodes when I typed in North West so had to go through my local towns one by one.  It does this from time to time.

It seems to work correctly if you put the first part of the post code in.  Looks like it's the bit that does place name to post code search that is broken

They've tried to be clever and re-sort the location listing, but fucked it up badly. I suspect the ordering has been done by foreigners who've no clue of UK geography.
Essentially in most cases the problem seems to be the geographical hierarchy has been changed to remove cities and big towns

For instance previously to get Leicester it was ordered
Leicestershire>Leicester>area of Leicester

now it's ordered
Leicestershire>LE*-Leicester   (* is post code number) with no regional area
they have introduced
Leicestershire>"City of Leicester" as a new term, but that does not pick up the whole city, which needs multiple searches for LE1, LE2, LE3, etc

It's bolloxed completely, but worse in some areas than others

Cardiff is worse as if you type "cardiff" the list just gives a selection of cardiff postcodes. e.g. "Cardiff, Cardiff (Caerdydd), CF10"
The only way to get ALL Cardiff is to select one of those and search, then go to the VS search path bar and click on
"Cardiff (Caerdydd) Escorts and Massages"
The search should bring up "Cardiff (Caerdydd), Wales," when you type, but it doesn't. The search terms and the address display lists are different so never match up.....

It isn't finding very much at all.. I've been typing Wales and ploughing through the 200+ adverts.. Swansea usually gets around 50ish...

yeah it went to shit on me a few days ago.  Now I can barely get on due to dns errors and random service unavailable/maintenance pages..

The few times it does get a page to load, it just takes you to the following breadcrumb:

So you never actually have a clue what area it's looking in on a profile.  Hopefully it's a change they revert and fast because this is crap.

Annoying.  It's a shame they don't offer an API as it'd make it much easier and better to customise searches.

It's a total cluster fuck, just got an error message but earlier I was still only getting 7 profiles up for searching "Blackpool" whereas i'd normally expect to get about 80
By contrast I was getting about 50 profiles for a couple of satellite towns a couple of miles outside Blackpool under an FY1 postcode but they aren't FY1 

When SP's stop getting any bookings perhaps they will look at why and realise the VS search has turned to rat shit and it's affecting their business but where will the dodgy Rom's etc jump to as they currently use VS due to it having less checks compared to AW

Hopefully VS will get enough complaints to think about changing it back, either that or when they lose revenue as people stop advertising on it they will realise they've fucked it up

Yeah agreed.  I was just wondering where else to look as in the staffordshire area, it's only really AW (rubbish lately) or VS (not much better but at least a bit more varied choice).  If VS is gone I've got no idea of any other place to look at.

However there are a lot of very stressed out escorts on saafe who are paying for an advert and are on tour and it's killing them.

They are getting messages asking availability from 100s of miles away too

I had my eye on one for a booking yesterday and after reading some advice on here I put some local post codes in and finally found the one I wanted. When I rang to book they gave me directions but unfortunately it was the other end of the country.

I think they've half fixed it.  Searches are off, but I can click through the breadcrumbs to get a better area search than before.  Searching for "Crewe" is crap, used to get me a few areas around crewe now there's like 4 different Crewe's that come back as search results.

They've improved it so much that it's now unusable

Some girls are having their postcode changed entirely and find the advert they placed for a week tour in Basingstoke is now showing as Bristol or Birmingham ffs when they are nowhere near there.

What right do VS have to decide where someone's advert should be displaying if that's not where they paid to put it or where they even are, cos everyone wants to pay to advertise where they are not going to be right?

The thing is that under that logic most likely half of those 11 are quite likely nowhere near any of those locations or even that county ffs

Not sure it's not working correctly. Seems more like it's working like they want it to now which is different to how we'd like it to work.

Also any bookmarks will not work as the search terms used are unlikely to be compatible with the new system.

For me personally, they have taken a couple of quite large areas, that had very few escorts and split them into 2 or 3 new areas, each now returning a handful of results. my old bookmarks now do not work and return the whole of the UK.

Yeah, it's better than it was last week but worse than before.  "Crewe" used to get me a few areas around Crewe, congleton etc.  Now I have to go Cheshire East and it's still not quite right.  Same with "Staffordshire", it's catching a few extra areas I don't want and missing others out.

I always had issues with location on VS - going back 16 years and I made this known to them several times. Each time they would say they were improving their geodatabase, and would make suggestions or at least give me a few free tries at figuring out the closest postcode to use. Using the actual town postcode would place me somewhere very odd, it was often better to use the postcode for a small village but then some punters told me they couldn't book me because they knew people in that small village.

When I moved to current location the town postcode put me near Lancaster, which is even more misleading, I had to experiment with postcodes from a town 9 miles away to the west - this got me within 9 miles/30 minutes of my actual location rather than the 1 hour drive of Lancaster.

It depends on how Cloudflare interfaces with your browser......seems to be some kind of hidden plugin which can bypass the interactive authentication tests, it somehow puts a recognition flag on the machine
