What I find baffling in today's world of the "Information Superhighway" is that it's so easy to make a few strokes of your keyboard and check on things.
Most intelligent people with a reasoned sense of what's going on in the world would be cautious and probably not take at face value, something they are being told is going to have a profound effect on their life and civil liberties. That's why people (me for example) get offended when I see what appears to be a reasonably intelligent person, posting things sensationalising matters that are clearly factually wrong.
On another small note;
PumpDump posted a search result from ChatGP - I had never thought of using it that way (to ask a long string question) until his post - @PumpDump

I tried using it for a long string question about a jurisdictional matter for an impending court case I have - it's blooming fantastic!!
It summarised the position / stance I can take in a really well crafted response. I've taken that and have made a request to have the court dismiss the claim on the grounds that ChatGPT informed me (I didn't tell the court ChatGPT told me

)
I'll let you know this week how that worked out.
