So I will keep this brief but to stress I never do BB!!!!! I always have covered sex.

Recently got some lumps down there, got it confirmed as a yeast infection, That has cleared up with cream and a pill. But whilst the doctor was sorting me for yeast they did a swab test and a urine test and the Docs rang me last night thankfully just before I got home and told me I have the clap and can I come in to get a course of Tablets to clear it.

Burning question what the Fuck do I tell the Wife ?  Any help or advise or anyone been in this pickle before?

Maybe you caught it from the wife?
Ask her and explain you use condoms when you visit prostitutes.  :hi:

Why do you need to tell your wife?
Can this not be kept under wraps until it's resolved?

Having Googled the clap it should be gone in 7 days with medication. I'd use your yeast infection as a reason for space. Can catch easily if went to gym or hard day at work and didn't shower perhaps.

I would get back in touch with your last few WG to inform them, I would also avoid sexual contact with the wife, good luck

Can't see an easy resolution to this one.

I'm guessing that you don't use condoms as contraception with the missus? If you have an infection and have infected her you'll just catch it again when you have sex with her after its cleared up.

I'm guessing it's a symptomless STI and she's showing no symptoms?

Lots of unknown variables here from the information given, but if you have had sex with your wife recently she will need testing. Sorry  :hi:

You’re Welcome  :hi:
Let us know what she says.

How long did it take to get an appointment at your Doctors?
Massive waiting list at mine just for a phone call before they decide you can have an appointment.
Surprised they didn’t just point you in the direction of the nearest GUM clinic.

First contact is the receptionist and she can't do that. Besides I'd be careful what I tell her because I don't want to hear her giggling.

You can catch the clap from owo definitely which may be where you caught it…hope you manage to sort it out can’t imagine the stress

Reverse infection a distinct possibility
If OP's missus is getting some action the probability of the geezer going in commando is worth a bet @ Ladbrokes

Using condoms with roger moores is safety conscious
This should be appreciated tho i doubt if the OP will get to finish the sentence trying to explain   :D

Thanks for being so honest and brave - I bet you are going through the mill internally.

Can I try and put your mind at rest ? Every one has the spores on their skin. 99.9% of the time they just live there happily contributing to your body’s natural biome but occasionally they do go rogue .

Whilst some yeast infections are sexually transmitted, not all are. Other factors are (in no particular order)
- a recent course of antibiotics
- a weakened immune system  - if you have felt under the weather the chances are your immune system has been in overdrive therefore boom!
- changed your deodorant/ shower gel / brand of soap recently?
- temperature. Felt warm and sticky down below because if changes in temperature with your central heating ?

I’m not speculating as to how this happened - I’m just giving you a get out of jail card  :angelgirl: :angelgirl: :angelgirl:

He says the yeast infection is not a current concern, this has cleared up. It's 'the clap' which ever STI he means that is the issue. STIs can be transmitted orally, also as Doc H points out if he's had sex with his wife recently she may have it too.

I know STIs by their medical name, just Googled 'the clap' seems this is a reference to gonorrhea.

Tell her u shared your mates towel at the gym or footie and he has told u hes since had an a bad bit of news and u should get tested...

Or u could try and slip her the anti biotic tablets without her knowing which will be difficult

Just looking through your review history you're clearly a bold punter. Few high risk manoeuvres in there.
I guess the question we don't know is have you been sexually active with the Mrs with no condoms in-between punts, & have you been routinely getting sexual health checkups?

If there's any slight risk at all to your wife, I'd say you're fucked. Left untreated it can get really really bad. I'd be thinking about damage limitation. One night stand?

Someone made a comment about your reviews and it set me thinking.

Any idea how long you've had it? Your reviews are mainly massages. The sex ones don't seem that regular. It might help you work out how you got it and perhaps offer a reasonable excuse to the wife.

Being honest with your wife might be the right thing to do but I doubt she would give you much credit for it when weighed against your infidelity

Avoiding sex is essential while the meds do their job, but you may already have infected her because symptoms take a while to develop and the infection can be asymptomatic.

If your wife is infected and develops symptoms you are screwed (see being honest above)

Assuming your wife has no symptoms, a devious approach would be to avoid sex until you know you are cured via some excuse like the lesser fungal infection, stress or something; then resume sex with your wife.  If you both remain symptomless then you may have got away with it - although there might be a risk that you both have asymptomatic infections that will cause serious issues at some point in the future.

Really as Doc says above you should both get a test. Harsh reality, but good advice.

No easy answers here. Good luck

Devious indeed, but I like the thinking 'outside the box'.  ;) He would need to periodically retest though as being symtomless is meaningless.

As I posted above there are too many variables, made worse by the lack of further background information from the OP, including when he was last tested prior to this event and timings of any sexual contacts other than his OH. They too should be informed. Also as Strawberry says we are assuming this is gonorrhea?

It is feasible they could have been reinfecting each other for a while, or as others have said it could be she has already tested positive and is agonising also on what to tell him. Too many unknown variables.

Okay, So I have decided not to tell her but....

I ordered some doxycycline that is the same as I have been prescribed from Lloyds pharmacy online to collect in Sainsburys Pharmacy. I have told her that the doctor said for her to take a course too to avoid the yeast infection incase she gets it from me. I know my Mrs and she won't suspect (fingers crossed) She has taken a dose yesterday and just put the pills in her pill boxes for the week and the packaging have been disposed of. I made an excuse that my foreskin was getting tight and that the Yeast infection might be coming back, So I told her I was going back to the doctors.

I think up to now I have had a very very lucky escape. I believe this has come from OWO. I regularly get checked at the local gum clinic too. Lesson learnt. Slightly put me off punting to be fair, My heads up my arse at the moment not going to lie.

Just want to thank everyone that has given some good advise and thank you for the DM's.

She must be very gullible or trusting then. A doctor would never advise or prescribe for a third party in that way. As you know Doxycycline is an antibiotic not an antifungal. Lets hope she doesn't have a reaction to it? I hope she never mentions it to her GP at some future date?

Edit also to add Candida (yeast) infections are not only rarely transmitted sexually and if it is is only treated if it produces symptoms.

You will hopefully get away with this but a lesson for all is not to play away if you have an active sex life with a partner unless all sex is protected with condoms.

Yes I know, but he was prescribed Doxycycline by the Doctor which is not the treatment for Gonorrhoea. Doxycycline would be prescribed treatment for Chlamydia. The first line treatment for gonorrhoea is preferably a single large dose intramuscular injection of Ceftriaxone . If treated orally, a large single dose of azithromycin is used. Doxycycline would only be prescribed if a chlamydia infection is also present at the same time.
