Can I try and put your mind at rest ? Every one has the spores on their skin. 99.9% of the time they just live there happily contributing to your body’s natural biome but occasionally they do go rogue .
Whilst some yeast infections are sexually transmitted, not all are. Other factors are (in no particular order)
- a recent course of antibiotics
- a weakened immune system - if you have felt under the weather the chances are your immune system has been in overdrive therefore boom!
- changed your deodorant/ shower gel / brand of soap recently?
- temperature. Felt warm and sticky down below because if changes in temperature with your central heating ?
I’m not speculating as to how this happened - I’m just giving you a get out of jail card
