Not going to go into too much detail as to how this is actually being facilitated but yes am supporting an incomplete family group.
As detailed on other threads i have some experience in supporting refugees and vulnerable people before so this is not something I was going into particuarly blind. Central support was not all it could have been. Voluntary support networks locally has been more enthusiastic and whilst well meaning hasn't really hit the spot in terms of support for the families or hosts.
It's shone a light as to how well our hidden systems are dependent on good staff. An administrator/receptionist at a doctor, or dentist, or school can be massively helpful and can make an experience if not a joy, certainly less nightmarish.
The family group here are respectful to property and others. I am guessing so may be totally wrong but the biggest barrier to them moving from "existing" to "thriving" is the lack of certainty relating to how and when this situation is eventually going to end. Whilst the situation I am in is sustainable longer-term I guess some hosts may find this more difficult as time goes on.
Whilst I appreciate the interest and I am sure that its well-meaning it is difficult to respond to without providing info that potentially assists identification on an anonymous forum.
