Well don't doubt what you say but that one they had there really used to shift! It may have had something done with it but its now back in the mid Seventies long time!
Don't think anyone was bothered re the petrol!, we used to go to this garage fill up sign the chit the firm payed for that!

, possibly later than 73 before price became a talking point, I had said engine in my Capri and that would have been early to mid 80,s, I swapped that for a Granada with the same engine, the value of both cars at the time was 200 quid.
Not aware at the time but should have been knowing where it was bought, the Capri was 1 of 1 built for a director at Ford Dagenham by Ford,s SVO team, restored today it would be a 50k car minimum.
My friend has a Granada, put a smaller engine in it, a 360 bhp Cosworth
