This is winding the gammons up isn't it.
I don't watch Traitors but Mrs Yourdick does and I have seen the charities which benefitted from the winners donations.  And before you helmets who say defund the BBC that's our money and all that bollocks, the money comes from the production company who make the show not the BBC.  I'd also be curious about how many of those defund the BBC folk watched it!!
11 Million + watched it, over 62% of everybody watching TV at the time watched Traitors, but yes let's defund the BBC they don't make anything that anybody watches do they.
Anyway these are the ones who got the money External Link/Members Only and External Link/Members Only

In today’s Times, Giles Coren comes out strongly in favour of apologies for historical atrocities.  Here’s some of what he says:

When is the King going to apologise for the feudal system? His family literally invented that one: a social structure based on systemic exploitation, rigid social stratification and the denial of basic human rights to almost everyone, with the King at the top, creaming off all the money, profiting from the multiple deaths and building a thousand-year legacy from which he still benefits today.

Not that it affected me personally. The Corens did their serfdom in Russian Poland, so what I need is an apology from the Tsar. But I’m struggling to track him down. It’s a grey area, this “apologising for the past” thing, and we must all do what we can.

Also for the First World War. All those poor buggers heading off from the shires to die in the mud. And the expulsion of the Jews in 1290. Although, like I said, we Corens were in Poland then, possibly even the Middle East. Which is why I must apologise for Samson killing 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of an ass. Yes, they started it, but the Jew’s response was not fair or proportionate and I am truly sorry.

Well, if you're going to drag up the past................
Where I come from, the bloody Normans wiped out all the Saxon men in a pitched battle in around 1068. Slaughtered them, then took the women as slaves/camp prostitutes. Only local surviving men were the few remaining Celts from the marshes who had wisely kept out of the fighting. So they got dragged into being serfs (i.e. slaves) anyway. So who's going to pay reparations to the descendants of the raped Saxon women and the Celtic slaves?

I reckon the Democrats will win big in the mid terms and some sense of normality will return to the world for the remaining two years of DJT's presidency

I reckon the Democrats will win big in the mid terms and nothing will change.
Let's revisit this in the future and see who's closer to the mark.
I think they might impeach him but it will not be for going to war with Iran but more likely some bullshit about Russian influence.
And it will end in his favour and the theatre will go on.

Probably nearer the mark than a return to normality
One problem for Democrats is that if they paint Trump as bad as he deserves than all politicians get tainted by overspray

They could just concentrate on a few things they have a chance of delivering - eg the Epstein files - but I suspect that may be the ultimate example of what happens when you throw shit as there will be some uncomfortable Democrats as well

Certainly not as funny as his father and sister. Alan was a mainstay of the news quiz.
For the younger members Alan Coren studied at the Humphrey Littleton school of comment. :hi:
