40k migrants left spain after the invasion back to morroco because no food or shelter. No doubt some terrorist set up camp, ready to pounce on europe. I heard iran organised it. Another reason trump needs to wipe them out. Iran have a sleeper network in the UK too. This is what the uk needs to do, let them starve. Then they will go back. Sunak had rwanda flights right. Have a deterant they dont come. Labour have no deterant. Labour actually have a invite.

Im not against migration, people who contribute is fine. But these freeloaders in hotels scamming our taxes. Our taxes going up to fund them and healtcare falling due to them.

London has fallen, was on the tube and not a single word if english heard.

London has fallen, completely agree, no evidence whatsoever of a strong economy in London, nobody going out to eat or drink, Soho, Westminster and the west end are deserted as are the Westfield shopping centres, fallen I tell you, Fallen.

So councils don't have a legal requirement to house asylum seekers once they are granted asylum?

Online Squire Haggard

Those of us who favour a return to old-style two-party politics can breathe a small sigh of relief that Labour comprehensively beat Reform UK in the Manchester mayoral election – with 49,326 “first stage” votes to Reform’s 9,845 – while at the same time feeling somewhat disturbed that the Restore Britain candidate received 4,811 votes, while the Conservative candidate got just 2,439.

The Tory revival under Kemi Badenoch is proving patchy.  To say the least.
Your figures dont match those in the link below.

Old-style two-party politics is totally fucked and not likely to return any time soon.
The final results paint a different picture from ''first stage'', and reflect voters wishes much more than ''first past the post.''
Labour 309,525      Reform 157,178       Restore 46,289      Conservative 41,021

With a turnout of 25.1% the real winner was apathy.

Crackadilly Gardens in central Manchester will be pleased with the winner. :)

Shouldnt be houses. Deportation centres and deported. Shouldnt be able to roam around in the community. Not councils issue. Government should send back

I agree, they should be detained in secure locations, preferably on a wind swept island off the western isles.

You're conflating again.
Both of these snake oil salesmen are despite their occasional use of biblical passages almost certainly non-observant of their claimed religion.
Isn't conflation Antisemitic?

They do, because then the former Asylum Seeker is homeless. However, most Councils have nowhere to put them unless they can be classed as "vulnerable" .

You’re quite right!  I don’t know where I got my figures from.  I may have misinterpreted my source.

Old-style two-party politics is totally fucked and not likely to return any time soon.

You are, of course, right.  I would like to think that if Farage resigns the Reform UK leadership sooner rather than later, Reform will gradually drift into irrelevance – but its core voter base is too loyal for that to happen.

As I have indicated in the past, my prediction for the result of the next election remains either a (very) messy coalition or a government that muddles through with some kind of  “confidence and supply” arrangement.

Either way, weak and chaotic governance will be the result.

You think we’ve had that for the past ten years?  You ain’t seen nothing yet!

I was away on holiday when I heard about Burnham removing the 5% VAT on fuel bills, OK a good initial "Feel good" gesture I thought however IMO the standing charge should have been reduced (Where the fuck are we on that consultation  :unknown:)

Anyway this morning i've just read that the 5% removal of VAT is in fact a temporary 6 month removal of it through the winter and it's likely to be more than swallowed up by the predicted increase in the price of gas / electric

As I say I was away on holiday so out of the loop a bit but i'm wondering if most other people also realised it's temporary from 1st Oct  :unknown:
My thinking is that all that will happen is people complain when it's re-instated, as we know once you've given something it's harder to then take it away

Morocco supposedly had issues with Spain officials attending Algeria and let it happen. Akin to a protest from the Morocco government with plausible deniability.

Iran does not have "Sleeper Cells". They have obscure Telegram Channels and offer low hanging fruit to anyone that will bite. When we see officials assassinated and MI5 buildings go up in flames, then maybe, we can consider "Sleeper Cells"

Says who? The military would only need to be in the channel for a matter of weeks, pick up the migrants and take them back to France. As soon as it was shown that no boat migrant would be able to land in Britain, the whole boat traffiking model will end.

So you send 10 grouos of boats. The Royal Navy has very few operational ships and their crews aren't trained to deal with illegal immigrants. Some boats would make it through as they probably don't show on radar. Royal Navy would be a joke.

Maybe they should mine the channel that would stop them.

It was mooted by Priti Patel - the RN said no and cited International Law. Unless s/he fancies jail time in The Hague, no Navy Officer will carry out an order to stop small boats with a Naval vessel. The French might have something to say about RM Commando's  landing on their beaches too, and they have a bigger Navy.

Yes, this. And some rabble rousing as a bonus as well. "So what if it upsets the French. We're Britain, we don't need to care what they think."

I am not saying that something shouldn't be done about the immigrants arriving on small boats. But naval aggression surely isn't the answer in the world's busiest shipping lane.

Agree.  And I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before the challenge that at the narrowest points you go directly from French to British waters and we can’t apprehend boats in French waters and if they reach British waters we can’t turn them back.

The solution is obvious: apprehend on beach and round them up into police vans, move directly to detention centre (build more if required), expedite deportation.  Enact legislation to support expedited processes where necessary giving legislative short shrift to weak excuses that are used stay in country and prolong processes.

One problem with that - mines are either magnetic, or contact, magnetic ones won't work on rubber boats, and contact ones would have to be on the surface and would easi!y be avoided.
Then there's the fact that the Channel is one of the World's busiest shipping lanes - pdobab!y busier than the Strait of Hormuz - mining it would have disastrous effects on the availability, and price, of even basic supplies.

Yes, the current system, gives them hotels and lets these army fighting men roam the streets to rape, attack and terrorism. They shouldn't be on the streets. Detention centres only. They get there food and shower etc. What more does the government need them to have. Once any paperwork goes through, then they are allowed on the streets and only if they somehow can support themselves.
