Everybody recognises the merits of the intended purpose of protecting hookers.
However its quite apparent the app does have its weaknesses and is open to being used maliciously against punters and this is a punters forum and its quite legitimate for us point those weaknesses out.  Rather than just blindly defending the app and flouncing about with all the shocked and disgusted nonsense you might instead consider acknowledging its imperfections and directing some of your distain at the SPs who willfully misuse the app and bring it into such disrepute.

Lou, you have to appreciate that from our (punters pov) at least you can come on here and defend yourself against anything a punter says about you, your attitude or looks etc.

Like the last post has said it seems likes the app was designed with good intentions however fundamentally flawed.

I'm going to download and check my punting phone number shortly. Only been in use a few years so will be suprised if any hits returned!

Offline tynetunnel

I downloaded the app and checked my punting number. As I expected, no info. Which since I’m a nice guy and respectful, hygienic, punctual and honest, is how it should be

However if anything malicious appeared, I have a disposable sim so there are no issues for me at all

The objection isn't against the app because it is there to protect SPs, more that it doesn't protect people equally.  If your number is registered by someone, there is no right of redress (both sides of an argument can be left in a review for example)

For example in January 2020 someone (don't know who as the app is anonymous) listed my number as belonging to a timewaster..... only thing is I didn't contact anyone in December 19 or January 20 as I was working overseas.  My last punt before that was in November 19 with someone I saw regularly ad had no problems with.

When I got back to the UK in Feb 20 I tried to make a couple of bookings but got turned down as my number was listed as belonging to a timewaster (then Covid descended and that was a whole new story)

I am now left with a couple of choices ditch my old number (and have to tell the few ladies I saw regularly that it has changed and why) or keep the number and be rejected by people that don't know me.  If I do change my number then that renders clienteye as useless (I could be a timewaster or worse but with a new number no-one would ever know)

If clienteye offered a proper redress or review procedure it would be more useful.

There must be some form of redress or review procedure as the report about Bree/Billie as “Abusive” has now been removed.

No need to explain to anyone, lost phone with sim in it, give new number to those you want to, job done. Shit happens and we have to just deal with it.

Messaged a touring SP who declined to see me as I don't pay deposits...

Curious, I asked her how she knew that, she then goes on to  mention Client Eye. Downloaded and checked what's been reported about me. Pretty mundane tbh...so my question to you: what's been said about you? (If you have the app)

I checked every punting number I've used and found only one previous phone number with a single report written in retaliation for a negative review on UKP. It didn't say anything bad about me, other than I was annoying because I wanted this and that during the entire session, and that I wrote a negative review on UKP. It had no effect on me since I had already changed numbers since my phone plan was too expensive, however, in principle a retaliatory report could lead to SPs blocking bookings for fear of being reviewed.

I'm not confirming that she correctly matched the review to the phone number. However, hypothetically, I am considering adding that to her review to warn others. Thoughts?
Hypothetically, I knew she'd probably do something in retaliation. And I should probably mask my reviews better, although the longer I wait to review, the more punters lose out.

Also, a retaliatory report is pretty dumb on her part, as she loses the most. A negative review will follow her entire career, whereas I've already discarded the previous phone number.

Offline vindici

A very nasty SP wrote back to me after a negative review, saying that she has added me to all sorts of client blacklists. I screenshotted it and had it added to the review.

Shitty service and horrible attitude is one thing, but trying to later ruin your chances with a decent SP later down the line? Unacceptable.

I'm not sure if I have missed something (sorry if I have) but surely just having multiple burner numbers in rotation or constantly using disposable burner numbers via apps will defeat the purpose of CE? Anyone that had some knowledge of accessing burner numbers and obfuscating themselves would be able to still roam around anyway with no issues regardless if they are a good or bad client. CE really would only catch out bad clients that do not know how to obsfuscate themselves or have not thought that far which is good for SPs. I don't really see the issue, unless you use one dedicated number which can be traced to you and you are an active reviewer, then it would be bad in terms of trying to preserve some form of anonymity for future punts if you insist on using the same number and someone has left info on you. Either that or this whole thread has gone over my head lol.

I’d like to see an example of a bad client number just so I can see the app working.

As for prostitute security, were I a prostitute on SAAFE I’d suggest a private thing that would maybe be more useful. Any busy provider could start her own private mailing list that other prostitutes can sign up to. (e.g. you’d sign up to ones in your area or temporarily to areas you’re visiting).

That way you would get thumbs down short notices from persons whose judgment you learn to trust.

In a way it’s the reverse of good AW feedback. A prostitute is unlikely to leave good feedback for a nutter but might be inclined to leave good feedback for the merely tolerable, much as many punters on there do, so it’s not perfect. But given the different things that can spark off a bitchy reaction in a prostitute, clearly the app has to be treated with caution.

Good comment. I mean some of them decide a punter is a problem/bastard/psycho/cunt blah blah etc IN RETROSPECT simply cos he left a negative review. I’ve known some complain about a neutral review. One actually went apeshit over a positive review! (Apparently she only wanted reviews from ‘high paying overnight clients’ and I’d only booked the slag for half an hour or an hour — same most people had).

Still. I’m sure there are some wimmin who use it ‘responsibly’.

Yep, same thing happened to me after my last negative review. Not sure if she actually followed through or not but I changed my number in any case. Took about 15 seconds.

I think really this sort of thing is inevitable at some stage if you're going to leave reviews warning other punters. Just goes to show the importance of having a punting number and not giving out any identifying info about yourself.

1) UKP reviews are moderated by the community in the discussion that follows the review. Members easily identify both fake positive reviews, and malicious negative reviews written by jaded exes (or someone with an ulterior motive).

2) UKP reviews have three scores, Positive, Neutral, and Negative. The percentage or reviews in each category adds a balanced perspective.

3) UKP reviews are not totally anonymous, since we have our profiles attached to them. This creates a trust mechanism, and it's why positive reviews from new members are met with skepticism, and of less value than reviews from members with a long track record of being spot-on.

I don't actually have a problem with ClientEye, I think it's a good thing. But I just want to point out that ClientEye is missing all of these characteristics, which is why it is nowhere near the same level of quality as UKP reviews.

Lack of reports might give you a false sense of security. In reality CE isn't as basic as it seems. It won't show anything if it's a new install or it decides that you are a punter checking your own number.

UKP is IMHO less easy to be malicious than what CE is albeit there's wronguns on both sides just like in real life.

....and they always take a fall on here as they eventually trip themselves up.

YBL comes to mind albeit he fucked and reviewed lasses I've seen so even though he turned out to be wrongun the majority of his reviews IMHO were genuine.

SarMajor also comes to mind. He, it would seem, was just a cunt fullstop.

Looks like ClientEye designers were alerted to this thread, probably by the same SP who watches this forum and wrote a negative CE report against me in retaliation for her negative review. CE worked for me on a new install just days ago, but it seems they don't want punters to check their own phone numbers anymore. If I'm going to be retaliated against for writing reviews, with no opportunity for redemption with positive and neutral ClientEye reports for me, then I'll just burn my number every few months.

You're right, this is one way of getting round the malicious reporting to a degree.

The tactics I encountered, and this is really fucked up, was that when my new number(days old) was added to CE to warn others that I'm the COH from UKP after a review, a secret shopper warning if you will, another SP added my AW name  and linked it to the number. Her screening process consists of initial AW message where she's asking for your number so she could check it on CE. Obviously the number had previous reports so she 'did the right thing' and added my AW. Hoes before bros as she described it.

Not a problem if you have a relatively new AW account with little feedback. However if it's an old account with hundreds of feedbacks that gets you bookings with whoever you want to see, it becomes a right pain.

And with CE getting smarter (fair play to them, and I do like the idea of the app, but not in the way it's being used I'm afraid), you're unlikely to know about the reports until it's too late to do anything about it. No choice but to start again.

Offline WAP

I’ve been labelled a timewaster just for making a call and asking questions about services available. I’m a genuine sincere paying punter and I always turn up once I’ve confirmed an appointment so something is wrong with how client eye reporting works. My new approach is to use my punting phone for SA only and then use a second number app like hushed for AW and change that monthly.

Certainly sounds like they were tipped off.

Part of the reason is they know they are breaking GPDR laws by storing phone numbers and further identifying information, which would get them into legal trouble if the person finds out. So what better way by hiding it from them.

Perhaps somebody on their "blacklist" can call their bluff then if they are operating outside of GDPR(I don't know if they are).

Recently had drama with a SP who timewasted me and got shitty hence my recent negative review and I was concerned I might suddenly get a bullshit report on there but thankfully there's nothing. It's definitely open to abuse and people leaving malicious bullshit feedback. Would be nice if there was some sort of way to leave positive reviews too so it's easy to spot that, yet i can see that being open to even worse abuse. Worst case for me I'll just get a new SIM card.

I'm all for CE and fully appreciate it's value in this industry, but part of me thinks shit like this is just going to make the problem worse in some aspects. Genuine punters are being auto-blocked because of a malicious SP while the asshole punters by now are habitually changing their numbers.

Tbh I don't punt often, I'm very selective and I usually return to the same ones so I doubt there will be anything on there. Aside from the last one I've had generally good experiences with all I've seen. If I start getting issues with being rejected then I'll have another look but I'm not too worried at the moment.

IF you have had direct experience then please do elaborate here to reassure us.  Other than consistent, repeated reviews about the delights of your services, nothing would mark you more as a sound SP than sharing some insights into the fair treatment of punters by such naming and shaming sites/services.
