There is no need to ask them, they are not complying with the law.

If people find their numbers On CE then it’s fairly easy to get them removed. The developer  is uk based so write to them in the first instance requesting removal. If that fails you raise an ICO complaint.
Says a punter on a punting forum. Like I said I prefer to deal in facts not opinions and speculation.

Have you downloaded and looked at the app and know how it works??

Edit

It seems a bit strange to me, you claim to be a lawyer yet are only interested in one side of the story, disregarding the other party without hearing from them.

Im not sure why you are getting so defensive about this, do you have a personal interest in Client Eye?

I'm getting defensive about this because I have seen first hand the results of punters abusing escorts and using UKP as a threat to keep them quiet. Read the thread I linked to and that is just one instance.

What i can't understand is why any decent punter would want to go against ClientEye, it is there for escorts safety. Yes it is open to abuse but so is this site, I have however pointed out and linked to the relevant section on their site that deals with privacy issues.

A couple of very simple questions for you.

Have you downloaded an looked at the site?

Have you read their FAQ page?

BTW be careful what accusations you make, you will need to back any claims up with evidence and not speculation.

Online finn5555

Any decent punter wouldn’t have an issue with client eye whatsoever, and who cares about your punting number being available to post on there it’s a good tool for the safety of prossies in my opinion.
Yes some may make malicious posts but that’s the nature of the game as some do have fragile egos

Use a punting phone it’s safe and anonymous

Offline Jtnonny

I have looked at the site and i have read the FAQs.

I have even downloaded the app.

The app lets you search for names, numbers and email addresses. All of those are personal data.

Nothing in the FAQs or the privacy policy gives the developers an out under existing data protection law.

Offline Jtnonny

As an aside, the privacy policy on CE is aimed towards the people downloading the app, not the data subjects.

I did jury service once and during both cases I was involved in the defendants were given to opportunity to give their side of the story, it would've been far quicker if we only had to listen to the prosecution side, especially as we returned guilty verdicts in both cases, but apparently it doesn't work like that.

ClientEye may well be in breach of DPA/GDPR regulations but you have appointed yourself judge, jury and executioner without giving them a right of reply. An unusual stance for a 'lawyer'.

For the record I fully support ClientEye and have no problem with them storing punting telephone numbers, it is after all standard procedure for those who have anything to lose to use a punting phone and if it helps to get rid of dodgy punters then all well and good.

In order to resolve the issue of ClientEye and DPA/GDPR regulations I have done what those who have been stating opinion as fact should have done, I messaged them and asked them. Their reply. -
Quote
If you feel our storing of data does not comply with GDPR processes please direct a complaint to the ICO who regulate such matters in the UK, our processes have been cleared by the ICO and are within current guidelines & regulations.

Also. -
Quote
If an individual identifies any data we hold as being theirs, GDPR may apply, however under the same regulations we have the right to refuse any GDPR request, if the removal of data would effect the safety of users.

They also directed me to their blog / continued FAQ which they hope would dispel any misconceptions about the app. -  External Link/Members Only

So in effect if anyone thinks they have been reported maliciously the first port of call would be ClientEye and if the matter could not be resolved then it would have to be taken up with the ICO.

If anyone thinks that information supplied by ClientEye is incorrect I would suggest they take it up with the ICO for clarification.

If you don’t want an Agency or Escort to know your number then withhold it.

Offline Al

If you have a concern with CE mis using personal data them report them to the ICO - but what is top then stop them setting up a forum where the info is open for the world to see and they then say its not their problem as its just user generated content like any other forum.

Or have withheld number blocker apps, but I'm guessing some providers may answer and be fine with that.

That was exactly my point.

Anybody booking an Escort happily shares their number when making a booking as they know they will fail the screening process.

They know the reason the number must not be withheld is so the SW can see who is calling them.

If the punter then misbehaves and the number used is shared on CE they have already voluntarily shared the number

Absolute rubbish, if you make it known you are a UKP member there is a chance your number will end up on there. You'd be surprised how many SPs won't see UKP members and if they find out they post your number to let others know you are a member.

Why the negativity towards UKP?

Or is it because of persons that attempt to do things like Sar-Major was doing?

There seems no technical bar to us using ClientEye to maintain a list of fraudulent / dishonest / thieving / scamming / druggie blacklisters.
They want to keep the sex industry safe, why not use CE to keep ALL participants safe?

How many punters would actually use it though, apart from that it's more geared up for SPs and we have here.

Well, Bree London/Billie Farlow is flagged on CE as abusive.

Obviously I don’t know the details, but you have to suspect it was a client that made the report.

Entered in my number & last November someone left this report:

I read this thread the day it was posted and I wanted to reply then but decided against to give me time to articulate my thoughts as this is a more complex issue than at first meets the eye.  After giving it some thought my opinion on it is that Client Eye is a good thing if used for genuniely dangerous/abusive punters.  However, if a SP is using this to post minor things which annoy her and I'm made aware of that then I will refuse to see her.  Not because I'm an arsehole and don't want her posting me on there but because it shows me that she does not understand her customers.

SPs are business women and like anyone in business these days I expect them to have done a customer analysis to identify the needs and requirements of their customers.  For the punters on this forum, I would argue that it is not unreasonable to assume that most of us would have discretion in their top 5 requirements from a punt, maybe even the top 3 things.  Therefore, if an SP is prepared to create a report for something small like being 5 minutes late or he had tuna breath then she'll go straight on the blacklist for me as she has not understood the importance of discretion to her punters.

Not everyone out there is a seasoned punter with a punting phone, we were all new once.  This could easily out some poor unsuspecting newbie that doesn't know this type of app exists for some trivial little thing that annoyed the SP.

I'll be checking Client Eye from now on, if I find an SP has put me on there for some silly reason then I'll be posting in my regional board to make other guys aware.

I downloaded it "ClientEye - Anonymous Reporting Safety App" and as far as i can tell you dont need to register you dont need to do anything you can report anyone with zero accountability.  Aside from its commendable intended use it is an open invitation for anyone wanting to leave any petty gripe or or just make stuff up to damage somebody for their own malicious purposes.
Compare that to on here - users are linked to an anonymous user id and we are held accountable to some degree by other members scrutiny and the great work of the mods , and of course we also have SP members like yourself who can challenge things.
So i would say the completely unregulated anonymous nature of the app makes it quite likely that SPs and anyone else may use it for the most trivial and unintended malicious reasons.
At least reporting somebody for being 5 minutes late (if he was 5 minutes late) would be true and honest , what about all the punters on this topic who have reported what they see as completely ficticious reports about themselves ? The perception of events between punter and hooker can be quite diferent , like punter turns up 5 minutes late as happy as larry , hooker takes the money and pretends to be cool like its not a problem but is internally seething and finds him loathesome with his tuna breath and entitled attitude thinking its ok to waste her time, while punter leaves thinking what a great knack hes got with the ladies.
But yeh its a completely anonymous and unverified way to slag anyone off and blacken the name of anyone you have a grudge against .

They say they're fictitious. For the most part, we don't actually know. Some could be false, some could be true. Nobody knows anybody here. Some of them could easily be lying.
As you've seen yourself, sometimes it takes years for someone to be shown as dodgy.

I do agree that it's too easy to report something, but at the end of the day it's just a mobile number.

What happens when you come across an SP who'll only communicate via AW messages and will also ask for your number so she could check it on CE? What if there are reports on CE of you writing reviews on UKP? Said SP could potentially link your AW profile to CE reports and then it's not as simple as just changing punting number.
