Dani's got a valid point. Though I think women tend to have a different view of any idea of 'neat.' A lot of men like variation, whether thin 'neat' slits or big long chewy bits. The popularity of vulvaplasty tends towards a women's desire (some women) to make them 'neat' like many airbrushed early Playboy pictures, with little to distinguish them that couldn't be drawn with a quick flick an HB pencil. Men like them sexy: women like to make them almost unnoticeable.
Some of the most interesting differences are those portrayed at different stages of arousal (lashings of lube don't quite look the same duh)
