Hi guys mrs spotted uber transaction on joint account. I got an uber to a punt and its stupidly linked to joint account. Any way i can get rid of this or use a good excuse. She already caught me off guard and i said i didmt use an uber. Help please.

Don’t mention it again. Disconnecting everything will make her suspicious if she realises. The best thing would be to keep things connected, as long as she can’t see Uber receipts and end destinations etc, and start using Uber a bit more eg when it’s hot, cold, at 9am when TFL is crowded because it’s too risky etc basically normalise her eyes to seeing Uber on your account and she won’t mention it

Ah, so a degree of sarcasm.

In which case LM seems somehwat justified.

How about EB? (Earbasher).

Or LMC (Little Miss Can'tbewrong)?

Perhaps EM (Elephant Memory)?

Definitely the same guy. Wonder which punt put him in the dog house. But his most recent review is about about a hooker that does bareback. If his missus has seen that  :scare: becomes  :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: even if his wife isn’t search savvy someone on mums net will show her how to see someone’s reviews on Ukp through a google search

Do you know every detail of your wife’s life!  If the foot was on the other shoe, could you for certain say “she has no reason for using  Uber at that day and time”  the scary thing reading your wife’s thread is the way she says “if he used Uber for a work do or meeting he would have told me about it on the day or in passing”  such an innocuous thing, yet she thinks you would mention that detail of your day. It points to a very controlling relationship.

It got deleted by the mums net. What remains online, for now,  and what was screenshoted is the Google Cache of that thread which is for the 21st Sep.

Her full name was Manchester Ibis Girl without any spaces, I previously thought it had something about a hotel name in it which was Ibis so i'm guessing she works there

If you read this thread fully then it became clear that someone on MN flagged about this thread in the same way that someone on here flagged there was a duel thread running on there.
It almost became quite comical how both threads developed and posted about how the other thread was aware of the other, a bit like 2 guys with guns both racing to reload a gun and get their thread deleted  :D

I have to work hard when I park my car to use a different private credit card and it takes ages fiddling with the online bullsh*t or telephone quirks of the parking services so the missus does not know where I have been. All same the Uber problem mentioned here.

This has got to be just about the worst thing that can happen (if he passed on a dose scrub just about). making a fuck up with the uber on the joint account is bad, but then by basically saying to her look actually its way worse than you think, have a look at all this! Its like a fawlty towers episode or something! I can only imagine how they both feel. Absolute shitshow all round.

Life is a risk. You are just as vulnerable in a black cab as in Uber transport.

What on earth are you on about, it has nothing to do with what sort of taxi or private hire vehicle he used, the issue is it was paid for out of a joint account so his other half could see the transaction.  :unknown:

This is off topic chat.  (According to the heading)
I was merely commenting on the outcome of a judicial review.
Unless Uber is not mentioned in the OPs header.
In which case I apologise

If you want to talk about a judicial review of Uber feel free to start a thread about it. Your post (which does not mention anything about a judicial review) about Uber and black cabs made no sense in relation to the topic of this thread, which is about some numpty getting caught out by his wile.     :unknown:

I do not believe there was an issue about the wider context - just a suggestion that you did that on a specific thread for that topic instead of this one.  I must say that I was also confused by your post as I had not kept up with the Uber legal issues so being clearer would have helped me! :hi: :hi:

Sorry but what business is it of anyone's missus if they take an Uber?

The company itself ferry thousands of non-punting passengers a day to where they want to go, if a bloke can't be arsed to wait for a train or bus or doesn't want to sit among others and fancies treating himself once then it's his business and no one else's really.  Punter or not.

Asking about an unexpected transaction on a joint account is hardly unusual.

It went pear shaped when the OP denied using an Uber instead of giving a plausible reason.

All very true, but if you are using the Uber to get to a punt it helps if you don't use a joint credit card to set up the trip and pay, and it also helps if you don't fluff the answer when the OH raises a question when the cc statement comes in, as we all know, well some of us, when it comes to women and their suspicions, if there's a doubt, then there's no doubt.

If he'd stuck to his guns from the off then denying wouldn't have been necessary.

Fragrances and cash withdrawals are trickier to deny, which involves much masking from the off.  I've had to be inventive on both scores over the years.

His wife asked about a transaction on a joint account. He could have quickly thought of a reason but instead he panicked and just denied using an Uber.

What guns should he have been sticking to?

Saying he could use Uber if he wanted to.

I get the chain of events, I was querying the denial.

Not denied it in the first place.  Sheesh.

As far as I can tell, OP hasn't even updated the thread despite needling by others and him logging on since his last comment.  I was more making a general point about others in his situation than demanding any answer from him or you on his behalf.

Do you mean "they" as in the OP and his wife are sorting it out off the boards , or that the wife and the MN lynchmob are sorting it out off The boards.
If its the latter the mind boggles what cunning traps they are setting for the OP , the poor barsteward.
