From the press conference the spouse said she was shocked and disappointed at the verdict. I'm sure her legal adviser would have said that manslaughter was a likely outcome.
As for sentencing - Sadly, I suspect they will be out in a few years (3-5) as their legal team will put forward mitigations about age, one pleaded guilty in advance and their racial group may play a part in their favour.
I hope to be proved wrong and they go to prison for 20 years.
I think the jury tampering should be investigated and those prosecuted. - They won't.
