Everybody who serves Queen & country has that 1 mate who go through your belongings if for any reason they are to be sent back home outwith your control, such as medical Evac or worse.
Doesn't have to be as bad as a death though, I once nearly got knocked down by a taxi driving on the wrong side of the road on the way to a punt, made me think about if I was knocked unconcious then first thing the police would do in hospital would be to try and ID me from my belongings. These would consist of clothes, £120 in cash just folded into a pocket, no wallet, a single yale key and a burner nokia 105, obviously locked. Would take them an hour tops to remove the SIM and note down the phone number, also get the mac adress of the phone, with those 2 bits of data they would have no problem to discover my call history and locations for as far back as they want from the telcos. Then just take the Yale key to the location most of the calls originate from and try it in the door. Any SMS messages could be requested from the telcos and depending on how serious they need to ID you then possibly replay the sound from some calls if they still exist in the buffers of the digital exchanges
