Author Topic: Covid-19 virus, will you refrain from punting?, or fire in the hole?  (Read 42874 times)

Offline thecrippler

As the title says, with this virus reaching Scotland, will you hold back punting for a while?, or will you carry on as normal?

Personally I had a punt lined up for next week, but am thinking of leaving it and re-arranging until we gauge what’s going to happen with this virus.

What’s your thoughts?  :hi:

Offline rathbone

Depends how widespread it gets, really.  If there's a massive outbreak in a particular city I guess I'd postpone for a few weeks.

Offline Harrymetsally

Not sure wether to quickly punt now and then take a break to see what happens...or do the even safer thing and not punt until it blows over.
Hooring will up your risk considerably I imagine.

My gut right now is saying as OP, take a break and gauge the situation.

Quick punt is tempting, but incubation period of a few days to 14 days, so it might already be worse than we think and you could be with someone who doesn’t know they’re infected.

I'm just hoping it will impact demand and prices will come down as a result, then I'll be right in there.

Seriously though, unless it gets to the point where we're all told to stay at home, it will have no effect on my hobbies.

I am break for few weeks till situation improves.

Not a good time for punting at the moment. Actually, there should be kind of a voting to see where it is heading to...not sure if we can add voting in a thread?

Voting? For what? Do you want everyone to respond to a poll to decide if you want to fuck a WG?  :

My thoughts exactly.  The hoor could have it and show no symptoms.  Then you could pass it onto your family etc.

I'm avoiding pubs, clubs, concerts and casinos as well as the hoors (although still considering a mad trolley dash to pump something quickly).

The above advise I may take when you learn to spell Whore?

What is with all this panic going on? The same people as who wipe out the local stores of bread & milk for fear of the world ending tomorrow...!?

Yes; this is a significant threat, but panicking just yet & denying yourself a worthy pleasure, or two, is just acting like a kid/moron*. (*delete as appropriate.)

I'm assuming most of us here are grown adults with brains?  We can make up our individual minds as to the risk in our own areas, right?  :unknown:

Think the risks are far greater than that, virus is passed through contact between individuals, punting seems about just as high risk as you can get.

That said, it's basically an aggressive flu hyped up by the media, from my perspective being a bit more selective about who I see over the next few weeks would be about as far as I would take it

Its an airborne virius , if you are in close proximity within talking distance within 2m from a carrier you have risk of catching it , If you are with a couple of WGs having your jollies or a crowded tram carriage standing beside 10 to 20 potential carriers at the same distance away the risk is the same , the more crowded the area the risk is far greater , this is the reasoning behind the proposals to suspend crowd gathering, meetings concerts , sports games .
I agree with you be selective about who you see , keep personal hygenie up  The groups most risk are people over 75 and people with low immune systems .

At the risk of turning this thread into a medical advice centre, like all flus it's believed to be spread through cough droplets, hence the reason for restricting public gatherings as the virus can be transferred either through touch(hands) or airborne as you say.

However, if you have your tongue down a WG's throat, I suspect the risk is greatly multiplied!

Your are correct the risk may be slightly more , but I would bet on the unlucky people who have caught and some have died of this were not having tongue action with WGs , they were travelling on planes , trains , cruise ships ,

Especially when these fuckwits make a complete cunt of themselves by mixing up the noun 'advice' with the verb 'advise'. And capitalising 'Whore' for no grammatical reason whatever.

No it isn't! That's only part of it.

Jeez. Arguably the greater risk is from picking it up off a door handle or other surface used by many others. Hence the warnings about not touching your own face when out and about, and for frequent handwashing.

Ask yourself this.

If you knew the WG you were going to see had the virus, would you go through with the booking just making sure you washed your hands before and after?

Think not.

And it's still just the bloody flu!

This one last time I checked.

It's an aggressive flu which as with all flu's means the elderly and those with underlying health risks are most at risk.

In the run up to Xmas last year, over 30 people died of the flu in the UK alone over an eight week period, however you won't see any hysterical headlines in the Daily Mail over this.

In a bad year 10,000 die of flu in the UK.

By all accounts Coronavirus will very possibly kill 100,000s.

Just like flu is it?

Hundreds of thousands are going to die in the UK?

There have been a total of 3500 deaths in the world so far, and one in the UK.

Think you're getting a bit caught up in the hysteria.

I'm going to avoid touch screens at ATM and self check out at supermarket, all those fingers pressing the same area, even the doctors surgery  and hospitals have self check in and numerous other facilities.

Don't think the Chinese would have built a new hospital in ten days if there isn't a huge public health emergency. One that is still growing worldwide.

We could do the same here only the project would have to stop after three hours when they start the foundations and find the ancient remains of a previous race (who died of a virus) and archeologists have to spend two years scraping bits of dirt off with little trowels.

I do not understand this word 'whore'.  I only know 'hoor' pronounced 'whoooooor'.  Anyway hoooring is on hold at present.

As for continuing punting, it's just going to increase your odds of catching it.  Up to you if you want to increase your odds significantly.  I mean you could touch ATMs, leave your hand sanitiser in the bin, eat a pre made sandwich followed by a Special chow mein, go to the pub and have everyone spit in your pint while you converse and then off to a hoor for some dfk and owo followed by a packed concert venue.

Or you could avoid all of that for the sake of your own health and others around you.

I'm just going to avoid thanks.  I've marked Sunday as my last potential hoooring day (10% chance I'll do it) but I just might not.  Anyway the girls are so fckin shit at same day bookings (and working weekends the lazy bitches) it's probably not going to happen, I certainly am not pre booking anything as the virus updates change hourly.

Just consider this for a moment - all the sensible, STD free, germ free punters are going to avoid the hooors.  So who are they going to do business with?  Ones who don't give a shit about corona virus or skipping the chinese buffet.  Inevitably these people care less about their health and I imagine  have a lower immune system than those that are careful with their health meaning they are even MORE likely to contract corona.  The virus shows no symptoms for 14 days it should be re iterated.

I reckon the Eastern bloc hooors will lead the charge with £50ph new rates by next week :)

This strain of flu is apparently easier to transmit than typical flu, and the death rate so far makes it 20x more chance of dying too, but this figure seems to chop and change daily.

Hand washing is key obviously, but it’s not the be all and end all safety net.

For me, I just feel we don’t yet know if this is going to be contained to the degree that it won’t be a problem, or if it’s going to be a real mother fucker. So for that reason, uncertainty, I’m out, for the time being.

As an Edinburgh saunas punter, my concern is that maybe more guys pass through their doors than Adultwork girls' doors, increasing the risk of contamination.  :vomit: Edinburgh also has a lot of tourists, students, civil servants etc who travel internationally, adding more dice to roll...

I wasn't planning another visit until at least April, maybe the picture will be clearer by then, but I suspect the girls will weigh their own risk and some will stop working for a while. The sauna managers might decide to close if they can't get enough girls in...

So many unknowns!

I wonder if the council will put pressure on the saunas to close if things get really bad.

I'll be expecting a rub down with alcohol gel next visit, even if it stings a bit!

In fact, that could be a new kink...  :P

Online Massagetugga

WG’s see quite a few “one off’s” that are guys away from home on holiday or business etc. This could add a some extra risk if they’ve come from places with higher infection rates and have travelled by air. If it weren’t for this possibility it’s still low risk here right at the moment. Two or three weeks time might be very different of course.

I’m not so sure, remember we are up to 14 days behind the virus due to the time it takes for the virus to expose itself.

There are now two strains - one deadlier but less transmissive (that's the new one) and the original virus.

Everyone can assess the situation based on their own personal circumstances, whether that be to do with age/and, or underlying health problems which seem to be the higher risk categories...

I don't believe I fall under the above, but will proceed with caution, and if/when the time comes will take the necessary precautions if need be... If that means abstaining for a certain period of time then so be it... Of course people will be worried, myself included... One thing I won't do is panic... There is as much chance of contracting it outwith punting depending on what we do, where we visit etc... In due course I'm pretty sure it will impact all of our lives one way or another... Till then....

One of three things will happen if the virus takes hold
1 Large numbers of punters will stop punting so prices will go down
2 Large numbers of SP will stop providing services, Romanian will carry on because their pimps don’t care, prices will go up.
2 Large numbers of punters and SP will stop leaving only desperate punters and pimped Romanians prices will stay the same.
All based on the law of supply and demand.
( Except the Romanians who will be trafficked to where their pimp can make the most money)

If some absolute stunner arrived on the local scene, or someone I've had my eye on before but never got round to punting with, then I'd possibly take the risk. But otherwise, I just don't think it's worth it. Anyone on the local scene who's worth punting, I've already punted with, so I can easily wait a few weeks to see how it goes.

That said, the government advisers say as many as 80% of folk could get it (even if most either won't know they have it, or it'll feel mild), so it's perhaps a bit pointless putting things on hold for something you're odds-on to get eventually anyway.

I'll bet the number of Romanians, Albanians etc pretending to be Italian has seen a sharp drop, though.
