The problem is, as the responses show/suggest this is not a hobby that gives off goodwill in anyway.

You are paying incredibly large amounts of money to spend time with people who if you weren't paying wouldn't even spit on you if you are on fire.

The only thing that makes them put up with you and give you a good time, is the fact you are paying them those very large sums of money.

If you start acting like you are friends and buying them gifts. You run the very large risk of the girl thinking even with the large sum of money, she wants out of this.

You buy her a gift and she thinks potential EAS here. If she thinks potential EAS then she will think to herself better get rid of him and block him booking me anymore. Or she will think I better give a more detached, standoffish level of service to nip this EAS in the bud now.

Or conversely, she will think. I have got this guy right where I want him. I can put a fraction of the effort in now and he is going to be happy.

Therefore that £5 bottle of wine and festive spirit towards her will mean that good regular you have is down the toilet and turns into a bad regular.

Its a sad fact of this business.

Who hurt you dude?

It would be nice if SPs gave gifts to their regulars but not heard of any do it.

Go to Bristol Rebecca will buy you a Christmas gift, but only if you buy her cats dreamies and are prepared to listen to her tales of woe  :D :D

It is not a fact, it is your experience perhaps driven by your personality and/or behaviour.  What you describe is not how I find the WGs that become regulars.

I say that as someone who has never bought a gift for a WG or even left a tip.  I tend towards the view that they should be buying gifts for their good customers not the other way around!!  You found that odd in a post above - but it is common practice in many industries to entertain and give gifts to clients, or at least was before all the anti bribery rules etc etc.

Also how can you think Hotel Chocolat is obscure, they have shops on most high streets!!  Around 170.

Who in the right mind would buy a WG Christmas presents? What sort of fluffy dandelion of a man would do that? These WGs don't care about how the man feels fuzzy inside when he thinks of them, to the extent he will buy them a gift.... I think in most cases they care about his pockets full of cold hard ££££ and nothing else FFS  :dash:

And why wouldn't WGs only care about punters cash, they are offering a service in exchange for cash, I don't expect any to think how I feel inside anymore than I would my Builder or Bank Manager. Its a business transaction, nothing more though ideally can be fun unlike dealing with my Bank Manager or Builder.

Just a extra little thanks for giving good service throughout the year like you give the paperboy/girl, bin men, etc. tips at xmas.  It doesn't cost a lot for a bottle of wine, flowers or bath stuff.

I'm not sure your paperboy/girl or binmen would appreciate those sorts of gift. They prefer cash, as do SPs.

maybe the best arguement for giving a gift is youve thought of them, as a person, and you want them to be happy.

and that in turn might make them more interested in pleasing your whims and engauging with you, rather than just going through the motions.

but alot depends on the type of person you are, who your seeing, how they happen to be crazy, and what your looking for.

as for giving them a present over just extra cash, they should already have a big pile of cash anyways.
i wouldnt spend much, and yeah it could backfire or be pointless.

As it's coming up for panto season I'm going to have to say... Oh no they don't...

many like a box of chocs or a bottle of wine or flowers or bath stuff.  That saves them spending their own money buying the stuff, so it is money as far as they see it.

Of course I drink. I never said I didn't.

You surely cannot be advocating buying what would likely be a 14-year-old boy or girl some bath stuff, flowers or bottles of wine for them for Christmas.

That is the usual ages of them.

This resulted in RandomGuy saying this. And I took the Panto comment to mean he was meaning the paperboy/papergirl he was suggesting get these for.

As a result, I said, it would be deemed very iffy a man buying a papergirl/paperboy flowers, bath stuff or alcohol given most of them will be 14 years old. Especially in this day and age.

Maybe this is another time when my thinking is strange. But it just screams to me "Danger Will Robinson" doing such a thing.

Probably, which is why I usually ask them what they'd like or buy them a preloaded Amazon gift card, so they can buy whatever they like.

The panto comment about SPs not always wanting cash. They have plenty of it but they don't always have the time to go to the shops to get some flowers, etc.

Obviously you don't buy paperboys/girls flowers or a bottle as it would be inappropriate and illegal with the alcohol. They're teenagers they always want money...

Do you specialise in taking comments off at a tangent?

This is putting it a little strongly, though I sort of agree. I'd have to completely lose my mind before I'd buy anyone an Amazon gift card. Amazon treat their low skilled distribution centre workers like slaves,  they're no better than traffickers in my book.

To answer Metalgear's question, if I see my reg in December I'll likely just give her an extra £20, on top of my normal tip.  As she's a brothel WG I'll also tip the maid £10. Always nice to spread a little Christmas cheer where possible.

I agree a gift can be better than cash if you know what they'd like, but if in doubt,  cash is King.  Roll on Christmas, have some nuts!

Like the Doc said,  I think when AnthG wrote about having  never "...touched alcohol..." ,  he was just trying to paint a hypothetical example.  It was just the grammar was bad,  which is why it sounded like he was talking about himself.

To be fair, AnthG's made some good points,   like others are saying giving gifts to WGs probably does backfire sometimes.  E.g. it might make them see you as a EAS fluffy who might turn into a pesky stalker.  Or just make them take you for granted & think they can get away with putting less energy into giving you a good service.

I've never known anyone react like that, but it seems possible that a few would.  The Christmas spirit does sadly seem to be getting less Christmassy every year..

Yes, if you were to give a bottle of plonk or a box of chocolates it's no more than a token gesture of goodwill, however if you start buying expensive carefully selected personal items, designer clothes, jewellery, etc., even perfume, it tends to suggest an altogether deeper intent.

Once again I would disagree I have been given expensive presents by clients who have never exhibited any boundary pushing, or EAS behaviour. Completely out of the blue the biggest one was by someone who always came across as reserved emotionally, and who often described himself as frugal where he could. Another asked me whilst was passing through an airport he finds the scent of designer house perfume on women a big turn on, so guess you might say it had benefit for him. I didn't realise how expensive it was until I recently (2 years on) looked it up. Another bought me a piece of jewelry from a particular range I collect, once again no EAS signs or symptoms.

I have also come across clients for whom buying presents for AN Other person is enjoyable, sometimes this has appeared to be part of missing a partner they have lost. One guy when seeing my reservation explained it helped him get through a bad time, enjoyed the actual process of picking little things out.

The EAS clients did buy/bring presents however they were doing a whole host of other things, not simply picking out a present. They were over stepping in other behaviours, not simply picking out a present. I have given presents back, or out of the blue without blurring boundaries and will give a few Christmas cards, sometimes even birthday cards and once or twice an Easter card. Just depends on the situation, appropriateness and of course discretion. It's just nice and I can do it.

I agree. It's just a nice thing to do every once in a while. The SP usually puts a smile on my face, so why not put a smile on their face too.  I've been known to buy chocs or wine, whiskey for a booking (just a consumable used on the booking as some SPs like a drink as an intro to the booking) and flowers on the SP's birthday.  It doesn't have anything to do with EAS.   I've also bought lingerie as it is nice to see them in the outfit and then get them out of it.  Again nothing to do with EAS.  It's more to do with being a perv and wanting to see how great they look in the outfit.  The SP gets to keep the outfit at the end of the booking.  It's good fun but ultimately means nothing.

I have also bought a gift as a way of apologising if I had to cancel or reschedule a booking.  Again it doesn't really mean anything other than a sorry for messing you about and I'd like to have sex with you here's the money.

I've also bought bikinis for an SP as I thought she would look amazing in them and heels (and she did) and they were really easy to undo one handed while snogging her.  That was great fun and no EAS at all and I could text her for a booking saying "can you wear the red bikini?" so I knew exactly what she would be wearing and I'd arrive with a huge grin on my face.

I also fancy doing a booking with an SP where we go to a lingerie shop and she tries on different sets and shows them to me and then I buy a couple of sets for her and then we head to her place or a hotel and have some great sex with her in the outfits.  It all adds to the experience of the booking and doesn't really cost a lot.  My bookings are all a minimum of 1 hr and can go to 2 or 3.  I don't think I could manage a longer booking.  No EAS just perving and sex.  All good.

When you rock up to a punt laden with presents and / or flowers do you ever catch a glimpse of a look of horror before the [feigned / nervous] smile appears ?

Offline RandomGuy99

Yes, they told me it was their birthday the week before as they could not do the day I originally wanted, so I bought them a small birthday gift. Nothing expensive and we'd been talking about a booking for a while.  I don't think I need to take 3 to 10 years off the day and month of their birthday.

No arms laden with presents.  Just a small bag with something in it and not every booking as sometimes they can send the wrong message.

Not AP.  I'm not fussy on brands it is how I think it would look on the SP.  Sometimes Ann Summers or other places do sales, so you just need to know the SP's size and you're in business. Amazon do a good range of lingerie and bikinis and you can get them quickly if you want them for a booking.

We all punt differently.  I do what I enjoy.  It has nothing to do with EAS.

I think you are totally confused about what this is all about. You take girlfriends shopping to buy lingerie etc, you don't pay an escort £110 + per hour for her to try it on in shops. That's sugar daddy / money pig stuff.

I have a bit of a lingerie fetish probably acquired from too many hours looking at the lingerie section of the kays catalogue in my teens, so yes I get off on a nice quality set of lingerie on a beautiful woman.  I like the choosing and buying process and then seeing how the girl looks in and out of it. It's fun for me.

I've never gotten to the stage of doing the lingerie shopping trip with an escort.  It's more of a fantasy.  I've never gotten into discussions with an SP about how payment for time spent on the shopping expedition would work.  I think it could be fun. Older man with young girl in lingerie shop.  The shop assistants would give is funny looks but that would all be part of the experience.  As I say it's just a fantasy that is unlikely to ever turn into reality.

People are not posting it's a very bad idea just for the fun of it.

Most of the things I say do not do, I have been there worn the T-Shirt and seen the disastrous consequences myself from doing it myself so am sharing the good and bad from that.

Other punters, like Finn555, Smiths and James999 just have the common sense not to even do it in the first place.

Don't tip them, don't buy them gifts, don't look like a soft touch or that you are easily pleased to them. Infact try not to show any weakness to them whatsoever as WGs will exploit it all. And they will. WGs want money and as much of it as they can for as little work and effort as they can. That is all they do this job for.

Before people get offended and claim "generalisation". Some won't, as in the very professional ones. But the very professional ones you wouldn't buy a gift for anyway as they are very professional so there is no point in you doing it.

But that's usually just a bag of fruit or a bar of chocolate, HP probably spends £2 max with no real thought behind it.

I have to agree that buying a gift for a WG when you are already spending over £100 to spend an hour with them just doesn't make any sense to me. I remember seeing a regular a couple of years ago in December, and saw gifts she had been given by other punters. When I asked her about it she simply shook her head, said she didn't want any of it and asked if I wanted to take any of her gifts!

I've done this, sort of by accident. I don't think it would be that hard to arrange as long as it's with a regular who's built up some trust.  At least with the sort of WG's I've got most experience  with (Brothel lasses)   I doubt they'd want paying for their time,  as long as you buy the lingerie and let them chose.  Perhaps it's different with the more enterprising WGs you get on AW.

So this happened a few years back, before I joined the forum.  I'd moved to a new apartment & wanted an outcall, as it's nice to have some sexual memories in the place where you sleep.   Normally I'd use an agency,  but I  had a brothel reg who I got on well with so asked her if she'd like to come over for a couple of hours on one of her days off.   She really admired my new quilt cover & its matching pillows, so as she'd given me great sex for only £200,  I said I could buy her her own set. (Id got it from John Lewis, from a Westfield only a few stops away  on the tube.) She was going in that direction anyway.

After we got the bedding set,  she wanted to look round the Westfield for a bit,  and chose to go in the Ann Summers.  I'd only really intended to buy her the quilt, so was careful to just give her another £40 and be clear that I wasn't going to go with her to the till, so she knew she'd have to use her own money for anything more costly.  Anyway we were there for 20 mins  with her sometimes asking for my opinion on various outfits  she was buying for work.     Not an experience I'd want to repeat, but it was interesting at the time.

How can you say its not a fact and not how you've experienced when you then say you have never even bought a gift or left a tip.

That's like someone saying drinking a full bottle of whisky will make you pass out......And someone saying that is not a fact, and this is not my experience at all. Even though I am tea total and have never touched alcohol in my entire life.

So now we know the truth, you give gifts! Otherwise your comment above means that your essay about what happens if you do is meaningless.

I have corrected your statement when quoted.

As I said, I have punted for 10 years, and gone through it all it seems. And at one stage got the dreaded EAS. And bought her Christmas gifts.

There is three ways you can learn what to do in punting. Do it and see the consequences. Or trust those who have been in the business longer. Or trust those who have done it and seen the consequences.

Any one of the three applies to the advice given to MetalGear
