Of course, and that just goes to show how vulnerable a punter can be if he lets his guard down in any way about who he is.

But I think that's very different from have a giggle or whinge at someone's (anonymous) expense.

Depending on how rancorous or nasty it is (some WGs can be bitter and twisted and reveal deep-down feelings) it may put off the punter. No one likes to be around that so they'll ultimately shoot themselves in the foot and lose bookings, unless their service happens to be so damn good it completeley overshadows that.

I'm semi familiar with McFlygate & this proves my point, all the sensitive info revealed were what he was naive enough to reveal himself or too careless with ergo leaving himself open.

If you say you're Dave the plumber or Mark the Gas Man who punts every other month they'll have nothing on you.

However if you say you're billy big bollocks bigshot punter trying too hard to impress them with tales of your high power job, sexual prowess namedrops etc (heaven knows why the £200-£300 fee is more than enough) you can't blame the WG for being careless it's on you.

I understand the point you are making but in mcflys, gabbar and some blackmail incidents, there has been collateral damage in that, the guys decided to target all people that visited the SPs. So even the gas man could have a photo taken and shared on social media. This happened in Newcastle as well a couple if years ago.

The blackmail obviously will catch out those that aren't careful.

I'm making the more general point for those who do not take precautions,  or have big mouths, that you could bring down a lot of trouble for yourself if you are not careful.
