Thanks fellas. Well, she'll be allowed to appeal the decision now so there's a slightest of chance it could be overturned though very unlikely. I did consider whether to add the word false or not because, while I know that to be the case, the only evidence I could give was contextual i.e. the texts we had before as I don't have video recordings of our meets. And the way the police see it, there's only enough to absolve me but not prosecute her (I think) plus apparently they're trying to avoid calling it false these days in order to not deter potential rape victims from making claims.

So yeah, the game is rigged heavily in their favour at the moment. To answer the other questions, the time gap between the last meet I had to the arrest was over 4 months and I believe she was vindictive due to not being able to overcome the fact that I had to end things as a result of her mental health issues I suppose. I'm single as well so luckily there wasn't much complications with regards to family, although my mum was visiting at the time of my arrest so that required some quick thinking! But yes if I had other commitments then it'll be a whole different story altogether obviously.

   shocking, hope the worst is over for you NK and you can move on from this.

Helpful reminders, and both apply to me. It can also be difficult to keep that distance on SA with giving personal info as part of the arrangement as it's usually more involved than a punt so a vindictive girl can cause big trouble, and a cautionary warning as we can become complacent.

In this day and age I think if the police are determined it'll be difficult to not be detectable even following every punter / SD safety rule. I presume if serious alleged charges they'd contact the credit card company for your billing address even if you used a fake one with the hotel, check CCTV, contact your mobile network and other means to track you down.

But still best to protect yourself as much as you can, remembering it can all go wrong at the whim of these girls

Aweful.  Really sorry to read about this and your experience.  In a way its a wake up call for many of us to the potential dangers of dealing with the part time brigade.

Sorry to hear about your experience NK.  It's a good and timely reminder for all.  Often there is no way to know how some of these SB's will react until you are with them (especially after a drink or two).  I try and play a longer game before meeting to weed out potential SB's with a screw loose, but there is no full proof way to tell in reality.

4 months is a very long time to carry a grudge. 
And you say you ended it because of her mental health issues and this is what triggered her to make the allegations? - so I assume you saw her a few times, knowing that she wasn't exactly grounded...Was that wise?  And what do you think upset her enough to make her want to prosecute you?

I said the time gap was from the point of our last meet to the moment I was arrested, so there's a couple things you aren't taking into account. She apparently reported me about a month after it ended and I presume the remaining was the time the police took to track me down.
And I saw her just twice in total as I'm not some clairvoyant who can tell if someone has issues on a first meet alone. It ended rather unceremoniously so she probably didn't like that ... who knows.

It means they can make allegations with negligible to nil repercussions in the end as the primary concern for the police these days is simply whether there's been a rape victim or not, so if that isn't rigged in favour of any potential random accuser then I don't know what is.

If that was remotely true, they would put no effort at all into investigations of the kind described as the proportion that would get to prosecution - let alone conviction - is vanishingly small.

They have an obligation to take very seriously allegations of sexual assault/rape: these are among the worst of crimes. In case like the one reported here, where I assume there are no third party witnesses, it's a matter of one person's word against another's, so the most likely outcome is a conclusion that there is insufficient evidence to proceed.

The only real point coming out of this is to remind us all that what we are doing carries substantial risk that we cannot always guard against fully. For what it's worth, I think that for a number of reasons the risk f this kind of thing is a little higher with SA than with straightforward prostitution.

Interesting theory however, a girls perceived value only increases when someone actually pays the price she is after, I think if you feel you are controlling the market price the opposite may be true.
ie: If she has lots of interest but no one is prepared to pay her price then invariably the price will drop.
If there is little interest and its just you offering silly money then the girl may well wait for more from some other mug
Commercially experienced folk will understand my logic here
