I just wrote about my first pay as you go experience on here and just as I was about to post my battery died. Hi there punters, I'm heading to Morocco, Marrakech tomorrow and will begin my hunt couple days after I actually visit some places, sahara, waterfalls and all the other buffer zones before the clubs to acclimate to the environment From what I gathered, Tinder/WhatsApp seems to be the hassle free way a long side the odd trip to Macy D's to find some birds. My main concern is apartments since I am going to reside in a Riad that's not too far from the golden mile but it seems like Riad punts are not recommended? That's the only issue I have as of now, will keep you guys updated on my progress.

Day 1
So I am in Marrakech as of this morning and even though I have no plans for tonight (didn't sleep before flight early morning) I decided to share something slightly related to the whole experience.
The minute your foreign ass steps on the Moroccan soil, everyone will try to get your money. I'm sure that's self explanatory by now to most people who read up on the destination before they travel but none the less, drum it into your heads.
If punting is the only reason why you are coming here, do not get a Ride even though they're on the cheap end and are relatively close to the center. From what I gather, most Riads, including the one that I'm staying in have staff that open the outside door for you since you don't have a key. Even if you'd go to the extent of bribing them you'd still want to keep the noise to a minimum due to other guests residing in the same 'house'. As we know by now there were more than a few cases where WG's went into a tantrum mode which most likely be the end of your stay in the Riad as a tourist.  :thumbsdown:All in all, apartments are the only realistic hassle free option assuming everything is sorted out with the owner prior to moving in. I've also visited the golden mile and can confirm that WG's are already out in some cafes by this hour. To clarify, the only reason why I'm in a Riad is that I booked this as a holiday, completely unaware of the punting scheme and caliber in Marrakech. I'll most likely cancel last 2 days here and get and apartment if my finances won't be crippled by the massage places until then I'll keep this thread updated as I go along. Hopefully wont be rambling about same thing the next time.

First time in Morocco for me and I'd consider myself a novice compared to some people here. From what I've read they usually ask for extras about 30min in the massage. And of course they wouldn't list that they drain foreign dick while they're rubbing your feet on their website you ask and you shall receive...at a price. I was half serious and half joking that you can get anything, it's like if you have connections in your home town to get e.g. coke exactly the same here, you just have to find connections and regarding come, I'd have no clue.. try high end club? Then again, penalties are harsh for drugs here in Morocco, Muslim country so I wouldn't be brave enough to walk around asking for coce, I suppose a close way would be getting a WG in a club and asking her after service?

Well well well, day 2 has indeed ended and I think I have got the "Ultimate Marrakech Punter" travel guide set up just from field work over the last 2 days. Day one I sacrificed some good 3-4 hours just sitting in town watching stuff between 6-10pm local time. After that they start to move towards clubs. Just to clarify I'm not that keen on going to clubs for WG's due to the extra hassle that I have to go through (bribing guard,  taxi fee and other random bullshit that comes with  it). So what you want to do is kill time with excursions, walking around town ect till around 7pm. Of course it's not set in stone as you can notice WG's pretty much any time of the evening but my listed time involves some heavy flock of birds. There are plenty of tourist excursions that occupy most of the day and end at around 5pm e.g. quad biking, waterfall trip ect ect. Today went really well in regards to setting my affairs in order for the remainder of the week. This includes obtaining a contact for private apartment 5minutes away from Guilez (Starbucks, MC D's). I actually think that he's the same guy that was mentioned here before, Mr. A. But I'd like to confirm that with another member that actually has his number and see if it'd match. He also can get WG's slightly cheaper than the prices that the girls ask. Now whether he's trying to fuck me over that's another aspect entirely and I might TOFTT on Monday or Tuesday once I get back from Sahara. I think I'll try to get apartment from him once and a WG that I meet somewhere in town for one time and then next day if I'll still be alive and well I'll try to get both apartment and girl from his connections. Allegedly he has a variety of WG's that I can choose from now I'm not sure if it's same ones that walk the streets or different ones locked in a basement... Annoying thing is that everyone in this town is sketchy and you really don't know whether you're being bullshitted or not until you try. The guy seemed honest about it but yet again, I don't want to believe anything these locals tell me which leaves me hanging on the fence as of today. You come across like someone I would read about in the Daily Express very soon. You are going there to get all kinds of high (no judgement) in a country where it is illegal, while trying to procure sex outside of marriage through prostitution, which is also illegal. All while your girlfriend is in tow. Would make for a great headline and an example for using common sense while travelling abroad.

The hammam experience is much like the massage parlour experience in the UK. You go in, get a massage and ask for extras. Negotiate the price. I know in Gueliz on there strip you will see a hammam place up several flights of steps. I visited it and they provided extras. This is during the day.

For all drug related questions I would advise using a drug users forum if that exists.

This guy is bullshitting you. Pretty much everyone in Marrakesh is out to scam gullible tourists, literally every opportunity they get. I'll give you an example: I was in a taxi on the way from Gueliz to Jema El Fanaa to eat tajine for the first time, told the taxi driver this, asked him if he knew any good places for tajine, he told me not to go to the jema el fanaa for tajine and he knew a better place, I stressed to him that I wanted a local place that was cheap, emphasis on cheap - I wanted to save my money for the girls hehe. He tells me the food is brilliant, that this place has really good tajine, pasta and couscous dishes and that it was really cheap too, tres bon tres bon. So I agree to go to this place instead of jema el fanna, upon his recommendation. He drives me to the place, takes me up the stairs and into the restaurant, I pay him and get seated at the restaurant and he goes off to talk to the restaurant owner/manager. The waiter brings the menu over and my eyes bulge - it's 300 fucking dirhams for the set menu. Bastard tricked me into coming into one of the most expensive restaurants in town to get a cut from the owners. Cunt.

I was walking back to a Riad and local approached me asked me where I'm from rct ect, couple mins later he asked whether I wanted to see a leather making station for free just 1min away, don't even ask me how we got into that conversation they're good at leading you into shit. So I was like, I'll gladly come to look at it but I'm not paying anything. He was like oh no don't worry. So he takes me there and there's already another guy waiting which after taking me around the place asked for 100dirhams. 1) Where are you from? (they are trying to find out if you are from a developed country and if you are loaded e.g. USA)
2) Have you been here before? (they are trying to find out if you are a newbie and gullible so they can take advantage)
3) Where are you staying? (they are again trying to find out if you are loaded e.g. staying in a nice posh hotel)

If you don't want to reduce your chances of being scammed by a blokes coming up to you in a market etc consider replying as follows:

1) Where are you from?  Not far. Don't specify a country.
2) Have you been here before?  Yes, many times, I have friends and family here.
3) Where are you staying?  Not far. Don't tell them the name of your hotel or apartment.

If anybody offers to show you around or help you, they will probably (90% of the time) want something in return. Always separate your cash and have lots of small notes for tips. Never pull out a wad of cash.

Ive found a full list of cancellations as a pdf document while reading the bbc news comments. Not sure how legit this leak is but i dont see luton to marrakech cancellations at all. Knowing my luck, my date will probably the only cancelled kesh trip 

Or, they may try to avoid cancelling marrakech flights as the compensation bill will be larger due to more air miles completed in comparison to EU flights... who knows.

So.. good evening everyone. I've been back from Sahara yesterday night and being on the minibus for the whole day was no fun so decided to lay off my plans for the evening. A part from that, 3day Sahara trip is worth the travel, at least in my eyes. Very different environment from anything else and the night sky in the desert was very enjoyable. Today I had some success but I will follow the format and keep it separate
