Thats one more reason I avoid clubs. I know im asking a lot but if you get good understanding with your security guy its worth asking him to spot the trouble makers and stop them.  With my recent trip the security guy told me he will let the girls in without any problem but if he sees a 'bitch (aka trouble maker)' he will not allow her and I was pretty happy with that service.

One thing that I noticed is that the girls in montecrusto and 555 have some kind of cartel gaining on. In order to keep prices high, they will not accept anything less than 1500. Generally, no. Newcomers are more than welcome in most sections of UKP forums, and help and guidance is provided to them.

However, this does not work for the Marrakesh thread, as it is CONSTANTLY bombarded by first-timers requesting punting info and details of WG-friendly apartments, which regular members are not keen to pass on the details for, for reasons stated time and time again. I have followed this thread since its inception, and have noticed at first hand how often these requests are made on here.

The thread also got me interested in Marrakesh and I ended up going on a punting trip to Kesh, where I had the most wonderful time.

Obviously we blagged the guy we'd pay the 2nd 100 Durham later. So in effect, for us we were supposed to be paying 200 dirham each time someone brought a wg. Another 200 if my mate brought one.... Dhs100 per security guard for our entire duration stay of 4 days. If on average they work 12hr shifts, then as a minimum you'd have to pay total of Dhs200.

Once the guard has been paid, and starts asking for more each time a WG visits, then you need to have a quite word with him, or better still, ring the agent or the flat owner and explain him to talk to the guard to remind him that he has already been paid for your entire duration.

Prior to making my trip, I went through this ENTIRE thread and made notes for my trip, and these mounted to 9 pages of A4.

It would be great if we could get this info converted into a WikiPunting guide, which we could then refer all newbies to.

It would have also helped out Wayne above, in deciding how much to tip the guards.

Admin has already created the page for us...
