Right, found a gents waxing salon somewhere local, agreed what to have done. Let's see how this goes Vs shaving. How painful can it be?  :scare: :D

 :hi:

Less pain than sneezing while using a cutthroat

i just use veet hair removal on penis area and armpits once a month, slap it on , wait 10-15 mins , in to the shower. Bobs your uncle,

p.s : dont expect owo straight away, do it the day before the punt. i had a w.g who refused owo as my cock smelt funny, chemical smell... wonder what that was  :music: :music:

Magic Powder cream in red, works just as well but doesn't have that smell. Leaves a slight minty smell to area applied none of the distinctive veet smell.

Would like to be waxed but not done much research of availability in Bristol, no doubt there is some.

I researched places in the East Mids and there were loads of choices, there will be round Bristol too I'm sure.

Anyone know of any cheap/good male waxing providers in North London? No Salons

Offline JamesDim

Shame to hear that some are getting ingrown hairs, post waxing! Been experiencing this problem after shaving and thought waxing may be the solution - appears not!!

Offline Morpheus

Apparently the answer to ingrowing hairs is exfoliating creams, which ensures the hairs break through the skin rather than grow under the skin surface. I guess real men use sandpaper.

The idea of using Veet is fine, but you keep it away from anywhere sensitive, in particular your arsehole. There was a great product review somewhere from someone who made this mistake.

A question - I guess most male clients who want waxing are going to be gay - are the professional therapists who offer this service mostly gay men, or is it easy enough to find a female to do this?

In Blackpool - which is a major gay centre, there's only one bloke openly offering the service, two female indies and two parlours. The parlours are female staffed and primarily beauty salons for women.
So even in a gay-friendly town, most of the waxers are women. I think the sheer difference in the numbers wanting to be waxed make it easier: a girl can wax both sexes, a male only male

There is a brazilian waxing studio in Holborn run by a cheerful little lady, she told me that the range of clients she has is very diverse, so its not just a gay thing.

+1.

The lady I've booked in the East Midlands told me about 40% of her clients are male, most of them sportsmen.

Agree, defo not a gay thing.  People go for all sorts of reasons.  I see a local lady who offers beauty services for both sexes form her private premises.

you can wax a crack and bollox as many times as you like, but you'll never make them beautiful

Tried Veet hair removal cream funny/strong smell and not all the hair gets removed you get patches which is very annoying/time consuming because you have to wait 3-5mins for the cream to settle before scalping. Shaving is better than using Veet imo.

I have also used Veet , it removes all pubic hairs, lots of variations on the market and convenient.

However, have sensitive and dry skin.

I getting a lot of itchiness afterwards, tried using baby oil, moisturizing creams, petroleum jelly but to no avail.

Would appreciate if anyone in this same shit recommend something for this?

not much you can do.
Hair removal cream relies on an acidic thiochemical to break the disulphide bonds in the hair keratin. Usually they use thioglycolic acid (also used in hair perm as a sodium salt). Some expensive creams use dithiothreitol - but that costs a packet and the intermediate chemicals in its manufacture are bastards to handle  (makes CS gas seem trivial)
Problem is the thioglycolic acid has to get into the hair root in the skin follicle to work. The acid is fairly irritant by nature of its chemistry and will attack the collagen and keratin in the skin. Best treatment is probably to wash thoroughly with cheap unperfumed soap and water - which is mildly alkaline

Have you tried Savlon, you only need a very small amount, I've used it to stop itchiness after shaving, Not used it after hair removal products though, so I'd make sure you've washed all traces away first, Scutty might advise if it's not a good idea

Not sure about that, I can't see it doing any harm but I don't believe it would help.
Thorough washing with a plain soap is still the best bet, maybe rinsing off with a solution of baking soda (the bicarbonate is a good pH buffer).
If there's any tissue swelling an antihistamine cream may help. For itching, maybe Lanacane powder (basically medicated starch) may help

Great to hear, one of my questions is how long will I stay smooth for afterwards. I have 6 days between waxing and my next punt so sounds like it should be ok.

Between five and eight weeks depending on hair type
The more you do it, the longer it takes

Wow, never thought it would be anywhere near that long. In comparison, smoothness after shaving is measured in days.

How long does the post wax redness last? Does it grow back as prickly stubble? The thing I hate most is a few days after shaving, when you get that awful irritation, from stubble rubbing against your briefs....

There's a body builder in my area, who runs an independent waxing for men salon, obviously including 'back, sack and crack' - might just take the plunge....

first time I had it done, it looked like I had measles for two days
every time since, the redness has gone after a couple of hours
It grows back soft, as its new hair that comes out, not the clipped end of an old hair

Offline Shawtrse

Waxing is great, the initial pain subsides fast as long as the therapist is a professional and good at his or her job.
The after feeling is awesome nice and smooth skin however when the hair start to grow back there are chances of ingrown hair which can cause itching and irritation.
Just keep on exfoliating and you should be ok

How bad is the pain on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being hardly anything)? Is it just some bits or generally each time a strip is removed?

Offline Mkdng

Every time i get waxed the girl rubs in some kind of balm in afterwards and that when the major stand to attention

never had any problems with ingrowing hair or much pain

Cheers for the info man - I'm renowned for having bitch sensitive skin, so imagine it would take a few goes before my skin builds up a tolerance for it!

I've got quite dark black hairs, so was considering getting the upper thighs done to match, but then that creates the issue of leaving the lower legs hairy when the upper half is waxed, so may have to consider a full wax from the waist down  :scare: (have minimum natural hair on the arms, chest or back so no need).

Essentially, the process involved damaging the hair follicle and the first time round there's a lot of tissue damage so you get swelling.
On later sessions, far less damage is done - but also the follicles slow down growth or even stop so there's less to tear out

Over the years have tried shaving but the regrowth itching is horrible. Tried epilating my balls, that's a mistake you won't make twice. A few weeks ago had my crack and taint waxed no pain no regrowth itching, felt much cleaner.
In fact having my back waxed was more painful.  At the end of this month have booked in to get my pubes, balls and shaft waxed. Just hope I don't get a boner with the female waxer but I'm sure she has seen it all before.

Well I didn't think my first post would be about this 😂
So I'm curious and need to ask, do you was right up the shaft to the top? Because I am HAIRY and really don't like shaving?

the hair needs to be around 8-10mm long. They'll clip it if its too long. Longer hair doesn't matter if its thin - like on the balls.
Whats left gets saturated in wax and ripped off

Waxing plunge taken today. Did almost everything from the waist down, even did my toes.   :D

Anyway, she started with the intimate wax and I've got to say, first time its tough going. The lady doing the service did give me plenty of warning about it being painful which is due to removing the follicles that have been there since puberty. Having legs waxed is comparatively comfortable. I have to say, I did spend most of the time laughing at what I was ACTUALLY doing!

No probs with getting aroused, wasn't on my mind at all.

Overall verdict: shaving is quicker, cheaper and zero pain (less you nick yourself.) Blood was drawn waxing the base of the old boy, just a big follicle. First time waxing doesn't make it completely smooth, still a few little ones there that I can feel but can't see. Repetition will improve the discomfort and improve the smoothness.

I'm booked in again later August. Will report on the regrowth.  :hi:

Post wax feeling and regrowth:

Almost 2 weeks since I had mine done now. I have to say, there were quite a few areas where stray hairs got missed. I did pull a few hairs out with tweezers but one hair left a right mess, wouldn't recommend that. When the waxing gets them out, it does a much better job.

Overall, the hairs that were removed are growing back now. They're nowhere near as coarse as shaven hair regrowth would have been so a definite plus there. My cock and balls regrowth is very soft too so feels great. One thing that has been obvious is the regrowth on my thighs - if my legs get cold and/or the hair tried to stand on end, wow it feels weird and uncomfortable. It's like the regrowth is properly poking through the skin. About the only downside.

WG I met at the start of the week was impressed so pleased I've tried it. It'll be ready for another tidy up at my next appointment.

Really enjoyed reading some of the comments on this topic. I really cannot be bothered with shaving so waxing it is for me.

But please make sure your therapist uses hot wax. My first experience was with strip wax and lets just say my ball sack got destroyed.

I've also recently tried sugaring but I prefer hot wax and find it removes the hair better.

Little update.
It's nearly 4 weeks since my last wax and the hair was growing back and was a bit itchy. No time for booking a wax. Also, no intimate liaisons planned, but I do prefer the smooth feel nonetheless. So I tried Nad's cream for men. Watched a few youtube videos and read the reports and took the plunge - ignoring the 'try a small amount on a test area first'.
It was absolutely fine - and worked a treat on my balls and shaft. No burning - left it on for 7 minutes. Showered off.
Was a bit smelly - but wife was out all day, so no problem.
Will I try it on my crack too? Probably.
£6 from Amazon. will probably do 6 sessions.

This is my experience  with ‘Veet for Men.

Disclaimer - As others have said, this is evil stuff, I DO NOT recommend this product, or this method, for removing hair from your ‘Meat and Two Veg’ !!!

You may well ask what possessed me to put the equivalent of hot molten lava on my bollocks  !

Well, two things :

Firstly, having reached the ripe old age of 48, my balls werre getting a bit too hairy. (Why, when you reach a certain age does hair migrate from your head to your ears, nose and genitalia ?! WHY?!)

Secondly, I read a review on ‘Top Rimming BJ” AKA Laura, whose looks and service I quite like the look of...

Having read Laura’s profile on AW, she said that you had to trim up if you were very hairy, so needs must...

Fast forward a couple of days, and whilst doing a spot of shopping on my lunch break, I saw a blister pack ( how apt !) of ‘Veet for Men’ and an applicator sponge, so in my basket this napalm like cream went...

Get back to the office, and research this substance that has all the allure of battery acid...

“Not to be used on genitalia” it said, as did the packaging...

Now, I consider myself mildly sensible, and should have took the ‘Veet for Men’ back to Tesco for a refund....

However being both utterly fucking stupid  and hopeful in equal measure, I devised a plan....

After work, I went to Morrisons and bought a lot of unperfumed Sanex, and several new car sponges (Much bigger than the tiny sponge that came with the Veet)...

So...Get home, ate etc and decide to apply the equivalent of Ralgex extra strong to my bollocks !

I unwrapped several of the car sponges in readiness, and applied the hot molten Veet to my bollocks and arse crack...

Leave on for three minutes it said...At this point, I fucking flew into the shower, as my bollocks were red hot and SORE...To compound matters, my chocolate starfish was screaming and twitching in the way a goldfish gasps for air !

A liberal dousing of Sanex on not one, not two, but three of the car sponges was needed for the pain to subside.

After drying myself, I inspected the results of my utter fucking stupidity, red raw balls, and several areas of broken skin ! Deep joy !

This next bit may have been crucial - I suffer from Pompholyx Eczema on my left foot, which I treat with a good quality Aloe Vera gel...

So, I get myself a glass of wine and the Aloe Vera gel, which I proceed to rub liberally all over my bollocks and chocolate starfish, and stand in the bathroom for 30 minutes...30 minutes that felt like hours....

Sleep that night was fitful at best, every movement feeling like a razor blade was slicing my bollocks open !

Come the next morning, more Sanex and fresh car sponges were required, and 10 minutes of Aloe Vera gel (Work was calling, sadly...)

The most painful time for a few days was getting in and out of my car, I guess cos you squash your balls and cock a bit..

Five days of Sanex and Aloe Vera gel were required for me to feel ‘normal down there’ again !

To top it all off, Laura Top Rimmiing BJ is now on holiday !

I shall try ‘Nads’ cream in future....’Veet for Men’ ? Never again, that stuff is pure evil and probably is a surefire way of carrying out a DIY vasectomy !

I've used Nads several times. It apparently smells a bit fruity according to reviews.( I can't really tell as my sense of smell.is pretty non existent. ) You have to apply it quite liberally to the best and two veg and bum crack. Make sure to not let any stray into your starfish :scare:.
When I've used it I tend to slaver it on and leave for the max time ) 10 mins or so, then thoroughly wash off.

It generally does the trick, particularly the first few times younisenit, but I've noticed it doesn't remove so much hair now.
The only burning I've had is a minor thin red patch on the left side of my groin. :unknown:
