Does this mean she is training someone or, are they working shifts or, perhaps performing 4-hand massages??  The latter would be quite something if she is trained by Sheng.  I do not think 2 people giving massages in the same building consitutes it being a brothel.  I know Sheng is a fully qualified Massage Therapist who is also trained in chinese cupping and she has some purely therapeutic clients as well as us randy lot.  However, I do see the point that if it gets too busy with lots of male visitors the neighbours will get suspicious.  I think she perhaps needs a proper premises rather than using a house in a residential area.  Sheng's own Massage School would be quite good - I would certainly volunteer to be someone to practice on  The only thing she will need to be careful of is make sure that her employee is working here legally as the authorities are doing a big purge on it at the moment.

One of the things I like about Sheng's premises is that it is discreet. The other Chinese masseuse in Chester-le-Street, Amy, who is a very good masseuse IMO, does have 'proper premises', but her premises are far from discreet. There are not many shop set-ups I have come across that are discreet - I much prefer the ones operating from private premises (though obviously some are more discreet than others).

The defintion of a brothel is any premises - for example, private flats, saunas, massage parlours - may be classified as a brothel if they are used by more than one man or woman for the purpose of prostitution, whether on the same day or on different days.  So, if you share premises with someone else and work on alternate days or weeks the premises will still count as a brothel, even though there is never more than one person working at any one time.  Where rooms or flats on one building are let separately to different individuals offering sexual services, the premises as a whole may still count as a brothel if the individuals are effectively working together.  Evidence of shared keys, washing and toilet facilities, staircases, tennancy agreements etc will still be relavent.  If you are the only person who provides sexual services on premises, with or without the assistance of a non working maid, the premises is not a brothel.

In general the police tend to ignore this unless a complaint has been made or they suspect illegal workers, underage WGs or, coercion is used (ie sex slave trade).  Also local authorities would prefere to keep it off the streets and kept within a controlled environment.  Really the law should be changed as it will never be stopped.  It would be better to licence establishments and so making it safer not only for the workers but also the punters. I am sure a few UKP members would be quite happy to join an inspection team to ensure that the establishments and workers are up to the job.

Finally, it could be argued by a good lawyer that they are not providing a sexual service. But, rather a holistic approach to erection problems, and therefore, it is a clinic and does not come under the brothel definition.  There gentlemen lies the rub.

You are obviously the expert in this area though I think Sheng may be a little put out to be labelled as a prostitute. I originally saw Sheng a couple of years ago for back problems which she eased not only with a massage but with cupping.  Later the easing changed to the front. I don't profess to be an expert, but I do try to make sure I know the law regarding any activity I undertake, this would include knowing the speed limit of any road I'm driving on.

The topic just came up on this thread, it could've easily been someone other than Sheng.  A few members expressed concern with there being 2 working then this.  -

I agree, It's because of where she works from, a terraced house overlooked by neighbors. I feel a bit uncomfortable when entering as it is and just think she's asking for trouble. If she could use the back entrance I think it would be better.

Davie has peaked my interest in the law with regards to happy ending massages, especially, as it seems to be a rather grey area and I am sure members would like clarification from the professionals. My knowledge of the law has become rather outdated over the years; so, I sought clarification on the 2003 sexual offences act (amended 2010) from the Crown Posecution Services (CPS). The CPS define "prostitute" and "sexual services" as follows:

"Prostitute" is defined in section 54(2) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 as:
"A person who, on at least one occasion and whether or not compelled to do so, offers or provides "sexual services" to another person in return for payment or a promise of payment to that person or a third person."

"Sexual services" is given the same meaning as section 4(4) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, if the service provided involved penetration of B's anus or vagina, penetration of B's mouth with a person's penis, penetration of a person's anus or vagina with a part of B's body or with anything else, or penetration of a person's mouth with B's penis.

(Note: I believe the wording of B being the penetrator or the penetrated brings it into line with homosexual prostitution).

In a nutshell providing no one has been penetrated then under the act it is not a "sexual service", the masseuse is not a "prostitute" and, 2 or more masseuses working in the same establishment does not make it a brothel.  From experience I know neither Sheng nor Niki of Hexham allow any penetration or touching. It is also why masseuses tend to put at the bottom of their advert "sexual services are not provided".  At least one masseuse that I know has been visited by the police because false allegations were made against them that 2 or more masseuses/prostitutes were providing sexual services in the same establishment.  It turned out to be completely false. This forum among others provides intelligence for the sex crime squad so perhaps we should be circumspect about what we say.

In Sheng's case I think some are worried that neighbours may complain to the local authorities who might send a nasty letter or ask the police to check.  This could be a little embarrassing for us the client though a towel thrown over should cover things. "I am just having a massage for my bad back Officer"  ...... " oh and the other lady is an apprentice I believe".  No crime has been committed.

As Davie said it is an individual judgement call in the light of expert advice as to whether to visit the establishment.

Saw this pop up on gumtree and very little going on in Teesside so i thought id give it a try. Sounded legit but thought id try anyway. Its in a new estate in hardwick, plenty of parking and easy to find. Lady was really nice, not gorgeous but ok and good body. Totally covered with towels but was a pretty amazing massage, mix of half thai and half aromatherapy. I thought I had mentioned it in this thread at the time, looking back it appears I haven't so apologies for that.
