Love the comments on here... you guys need to get out a little more...lol   When you're buying rounds of between ten and twenty, chucking baskets full of ping pong balls all over the place, then there's the designer gear (not the micky mouse stuff) then there's the birds, if you're doing the better ones, they're a bit more money, then half the boys are doing fucking sniff (I don't touch the shit, but each to his own) and a grand a day is quite feasible ... bear in mind some of this lot will do 1200 in town on the weekend in Cardiff..... they're a bit naughty but not a bad bunch of lads.

Well It's your money, so up to you how you spend It, but I don't see the point of buying designer gear In a 3rd world country, the tarts wont know the difference, throwing fecking pingpong balls and the rest of that BS has ruined many of the WS gogo's, the reason these better birds want more Is because so many 2 week millionaires have come to Patts, thinking throwing baht about the bars makes them movie stars for the night, In fact the Thais think they are just stupid rich farangs, who need to be relieved of their baht. :)

Totally agree with that last report that was maybe my last trip to Pattaya ! In 17 days their I found so few am decent women  :thumbsdown:but my best time and saviour was my last day at the soapy massage parlour on soi 2 where I found a stunning big breasted tattooed filthy young girl who fucked me stupid and with no messing about of small talk or drinks it cost me 1,800 baht for 1 and half hours  :yahoo:
Think I'm going to try Cambodia again as been 10 years since my last trip :) but seriously Pattaya has been ruined now and time to move on but have many great memories of this once great party town !

I will be in Pattaya this July to celebrate my 30th Birthday. I was in Pattaya back in February and had a great time, but I've never been to Thailand during the low season so I'm wondering what Pattaya is like during this time. Are there still lots of girls, a good amount of people there and all the usual bars open? Got an absolute killer discount on a hotel so I couldn't pass up another visit.

Personally I think low season is a better time to visit, high season prices go up, including the girls, low season you have more choice, there are still plenty of girls about, in fact a surplus, so you should be having to fight them off with a shitty stick, how much are you paying for a hotel? Only thing with going in July is airfares shoot up a couple of hundred quid.

A good friend recommends this place

Apparently 1200 baht/night inc breakfast in Low season. He says the Pink studios are ideal and the place is girl friendly

Looks good Steve, I see it's on soi bukhao, so not far from LK Metro and soi Diana bar areas, depends what area you want to stay in, ideal to find somewhere that's close to the second rd beach rd baht bus circuit, this makes it easier to move around, especially after a belly full of beer Chang at 3 in the morning lol, there are so many hotels and apartments available that I never book my whole stay before I arrive, maybe the first couple of nights, or I just wing it, then I can look around for a decent place at a good price.

Offline Steve2

Thats exactly where he likes and says it is so quiet for somewhere so central

External Link/Members Only. They are doing low season discounts of 15% and I'm an ACE member, so I managed to get a rate of 1400 baht a night inc breakfast. I've stayed there before so I have the added reassurance that I know its a decent place. Only issue is they charge for bringing 2 girls back, but I'm not into that anyway. Its right on Soi Diana so its a great location. I didn't notice high airfare prices, paid the usual £600 I do for a return with Eva. I was having to beat off girls with a shitty stick in the high season, any more attention and I will have to hire security :scare:

to all those going to Pattaya leave the main tourist areas alone , you will get ripped off just as you would in any big city.

my top tip is go up to the lake on the dark side of town ! there are bars and restaurants and you will get an amazing deal !!! they even got a fish and chip shop up there and as they dont get many punters up there they are very very grateful :)

I always end my trip to Pattaya by going to the soap sud place near drinking street ! you go in take a seat choose one of the many many lovely ladies who will then treat you like a king !!! all for 2000bht worth every bubble .

happy days lads cant wait for October lol

Yes a visit over to the darkside can be a good Idea, but don't think I'd base myself so far out of town, not sure why you say you'll get ripped off In the tourist areas, do you mean because a beer In a gogo on WS Is over 160 thb or that none of the stunners want to go LT, and the ones that do want 4K and 2k for a quick ST?

been to pattaya,

stayed close to SOI 6, pretty sure soi 6/1 is like a mini gay street, all just short time bars,  Walking Street is so expensive kinda like princess st Edinburgh or Buchanan st Glasgow. just a huge tourist attraction.

It gets kinda tricky, even on soi 6 like there are a few bars that have solely lady boys, I'm not totally sure how many will be pre op or post op.

Pattaya just feels like a really safe city, unlike bangkok,

Pattaya is pretty awesome, Id suggest only book any hotel for a couple days then switch area.  to explain any girls you speak to you will pass every day and it can get awkward lol.

there are a ton of places to stay and book,  I would put forward this recommendation: External Link/Members Only  sits right in the middle of soi6,  its like an English bar plotted right in middle of soi 6, good food good location.

top of soi 6, turn left and on your right hand side is said to be the best soapy in patts :)

continue down same road, you will come across some shopping areas and then to  a huge supermarket.

Pattaya transport system is great and so cheap, works in like almost a huge square, baht buses,  you simply waive them down, if
you request an exact stop you pay more, if not you pay so little.

not sure if this will help anyone :)

Glad you had a great time / long time  :D

Funny you should mention that ''nows the time to go.'' For the past day or two I've been digging around for hotels/resorts and stuff in Thailand. Unfortunately, I still know squat about the place. Patong (?) looks nice too. Not sure if I'd go for the muff, mainly after a quiet beach that isn't full of hawkers, plastic bottles and dog shit - yep, I'm getting old alright.

Finding a pristine beach with no hawkers in Thailand is difficult, Phuket has some decent beaches, but they are a few miles outside the night life centre of Patong, for mongering I'd stay in Pattaya, Jomten beach is better than Pattaya, or you could go for a day trip to nearby Koh Larn, and perv at all the Russian birds in their bikinis, or book a stay over in Koh Chang.

Me too, but bottled out last night and opted for the relative safety of the Florida keys instead.

The Queen Vic rec seems a good place to hole up for whoring. I feel I'm a bit too trusting to be fucking about in foreign climes and would probably find myself rolled up in carpet behind a go-go bar.  :D

I could do with a Walking Street Mentor. Maybe Jimmy will offer his services in 2015?  ;)

You don't come across as a naive punter, Patts Is a safe bet, IF you're not one who falls In love with the first bargirl that gives you the time of day, and you are there just for a fun holiday.

Keep reading up on the Thai boards, as knowledge of the scene Is always good, especially to a newbie, when you do finally book your flight to LOS, If you are a known poster on some of these Thai boards like Pattaya addicts, seasoned vets are usually happy to let you tag along, and show you the sites, and give advice, I've done this on many occasions, usually just chatting to another fella In a bar, he telling me he's new, and need advice, buying me a beer usually gets the Info flowing.

If you change your mind, I have a good mate who has lived there for about 5 years. He'd be happy to show you the sights and share a few beers

If you can negotiate your way round the Eastern Europeans and general bull that you get in this country Pattaya should be a breeze for you. You actually get to chat and 'interview' your girl in the bar / gogo before you choose and they will be a bit more honest about things eg do you do anal, they may respond no but my friend does and get their friend over. It will cost you £5 for a couple of drinks to do the interview but that's better than handing over £100 to find they don't.

Big big plus - if you take them back to your hotel you pay after the event so bad service, kick them out with a smaller fee. Be nice but don't take any crap.

Mixx Club at the end of Walking Street is where the indie's go. Insomnia in Walking Street can be a play ground of choice too. I was in there a few months back with my Thai GF and it did not stop a lady (very cute lady) slipping her number on a piece of paper in to my back pocket.
There is a Thai club at the start of Walking Street which is good and very Thai but the Thai dancers are lovely and can be easily picked off. It's not so packed as the other clubs and often European guys are in there with there Thai GF's so not so crazy. But look out for the dancers on stage, most are very sexy.

Some general advice for Thailand

Dont do drugs, many dealers get a double whammy by telling Police and getting kick back from them after you have to pay them off.

A smile does not mean the same as in the West

Never take a stationary taxi, they will generally rip you off. Always better to flag one down and insist on using the meter.

Take everthing people say with a pinch of salt.

Beware of friendly well dressed Thais who speak good English, it is usually a scam

Always use a condom dont be tempted by girls who look younger than 18, many scams

Never go to unknown upstairs shows/bars usually a rip off.

Always ask the price of drinks before you order.

Ignore touts

Never send a girl money, often they have loads of guys from various countries thinking they are the only one.

What I meant is that Thais are brought up to hide their true feelings and will present a smile, but this does not mean they are happy.

Just based on my experience.

If they do get angry or lose face, watch out :bomb:

Allways a good starting point, but there are many Thais that see farangs (foreigners) as "cows that need to be milked"

Have fun but be cautious, is my advice  :drinks:

Spot on, this is something many westerners have trouble understanding, a Thai will smile as they are ripping you off.

I first went to Thailand in 99 and can still remember how it felt, when the tables seemed to be turned.

You know what it is like when you go out and women ignore you, but imagine a scenario where hot young women are trying to catch your eye

After a while you understand its just business, but can still be enjoyable if you know the rules and dont think it is real
