I'm not from UK, I'm actually from Toronto. Found this website since I'm heading over to London in July. It's actually been interesting, a lot of the terminology and such is extremely different, for a while I wasn't sure what I was actually reading.
Anyway, given how lost I was, I imagine those who travel to Canada are equally confused by the language used here.
So I thought I'd give a break down. If you like it, kindly return the favour and visit one of Canada's boards and give us a how to. I'll focus on Toronto and Ottawa, but you could apply this to anywhere in Canada. I would not apply this advice in US, it's a whole different world there.
Terminology: Firstly, no one calls it punting here. The most common word is 'hobbying', but some people don't like using it. Punters are called either clients or hobbyiests. Working girls (WG) are called escorts, SPs (Service providers), MA/MP (If they only do massage, and not full service, which is full blown PiV sex).
Rates (for SP/MA): I've never been a 30 min kind of guy, so I can only speak for 1 hr+ prices. Usually, you're looking at $240 CAD/hr and higher. You do find some that are $200-$240, and some of them exceptional ladies, but $240-$250/hr seems to be a popular price point among half the industry. The other half gets very pricey very quickly, from $300/hr to upwards of $500/hr. On the pricier side, $350/hr seems to be a popular price.
Who: SPs are either indy (independent) or agency girls. I've noticed that indy's usually have the most varied prices (from $200/hr to the $500 I was talking about earlier). Agencies usually stick to $250/hr. There are a number of agencies you can get in touch with in Toronto. In Ottawa, I've noticed less agencies, and more independents. Ottawa is generally a less expensive town, so rates are a little lower across the board.
Websites: There is one main website for each city/region. For no real particular reason, it becomes the most popular one, and most people stick to it. Lyla.com is popular for Ottawa, and some of the Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland). Terb.cc is popular for Toronto. Montreal and Quebec city: Merb.cc. Vancouver and Victoria: Perb.cc. You will notice a lot of independent ladies have their own twitter handle, websites, blogs. On Lyla.com, a lot of them participate in the forums. Less so in Terb.cc.
Law: Last year, the Canadian government introduced a law similar to the Swedish model. It was done by the at the time ruling Conservatives, championed by a very Christian conservative MP, whose previous agendas were preventing gay marriage, and banning pornography. The latter two failed. In actuality, while there was a bit of fear about the repercussions, there hasn't been any major arrests or raids. The police have largely left the agencies and massage parlours alone, given that the ladies working there are working there on their own accord. A lot of them are university students, especially the massage parlours which are mainly located north Toronto, and close to one of Canada's largest universities.
Etiquette: Payment is always done first. If you've booked two hours, you pay for the entire two hours up front. It helps to have a cell phone to book for independent ladies, as most of them require for you to have a working phone number. Most will ask you to shower before starting, and will offer you a little time at the end for another shower if you'd like.
What to expect: For independent and agency SPs, most of what you'd get here I suppose. Also, another term I never understood for a bit. If someone says daty, it means owo. However, a lot of times, for both agencies and indy's, any restrictions are posted on their website and/or ads. No condom sex is a huge and massive no no, and will get you kicked out. For MAs and MPs, the agency ladies will stroke you off, and a small few might kiss (depends on the lady, you, and whether she feels like it, it's not part of the service). Nothing more. No blowjob, no sex. Independent MAs are a bit different with what they are willing to do. Some will stop just before PiV, some with less. You have to see the lady's website and ensure with her what her restrictions are.
Some of this might seem obvious. Just thought I'd give a rundown with the basics, if anyone has any questions, ask away.
Oh, and if you liked this, kindly leave something similar in Terb/Lyla or any of the other Canadian websites.
