Thanks to the guys who responded to my other thread.
My trip to Kiev has ended and I thought I would post my twopeneth worth.
This was my first time to Kiev and so kept within limits.
First thing, Kiev is a great place to visit. A very nice city. It is quite possible there is not an ugly woman under 30 in the city! An exaggeration but .....
But to the point in hand. I was staying in an upmarket hotel and it was obvious a number a guys were punching above their weight and there were a number of extra visitors who were not dress demurely! So the point is punting is more than tolerated.
I managed to go to one strip club (the mandarin) which laid on a fairly good cabaret with 10's of girls strutting their stuff. It was cheaper to drink there than the hotel and would send a taxi to collect you. For about £10-12 you could have a private dance. For I think $300 you could take one home with you for 2 hours. Depending on your preferences you could easily rate each of them from 8 - 10.
In the bar in my hotel we saw a number of WG waiting to be picked up. The form is you have to approach them, buy a drink, have a chat etc.d. I also went to the Intercon an saw more there, both in the downstairs bar and the upper bar. They tend to show up about 9 or 10pm. Again, depending on your preferences you could rate them from 8 - 10. At the Intercon I observed how not to pick one up. Some European asked the crassest of questions and if I were her I would have walked, but he was the only game in town so she put up with it. It cost him though because he asked how much, she said "300" and he said "dollars" and she said "yes". Probably correct, but it could have been local UAH - about 1/20th).
That brings me to the main event.
When I could I did some website surfing, of which these are the ones I looked at:

Point to note all the prices are in UAH, but when translated appear as USD - ignore. They are UAH
Anyway, the point is the rates for one hour can be 300 to 800 UAh (at about 35 to the £) for 1 hour in or outcall. You can also pay however much you like if you what to be silly.
The biggest problem is that the profiles are invariable too good to be true and services can be limited. Anyway after some deliberation I decided to take a gamble on the basis that I was talking less than £30!!! for a 1 hour outcall (A scotch costs about £7 here).
So based on services and profile I chose:

Comms were good. Agreed 800 UAH + 200 UAH for taxi (about £30). She turned up within 1/2 hour. Unfortunately I had to collect her at reception but they didn't care.
Well, I didn't really think I was going to get the photo and she tried to say she dyed her hair. If i squinted I may have believed her. BUT she was OK. If the photo was a 10 then she was a 7. Probably older and shorter too.
Checked on services (kissing reluctantly - not FK, but you are probably never going to get it here, OW (OWO extra among other things)). She said yes to anal but I didn't do it.
When she turned up she was friendly and accommodating. Interestingly - she went to the shower instead of me!!!
Although she said she spoke English, it was rudimentary but OK.
All in all she was fine. She was not difficult, kept going for the whole session which include OW, sex in whatever position you wanted and a massage. Was it the best? Not really, but far far from the worst.
Would I return, probably not. But more because there is so much out there and I might get luckier. Would I recommend? Probably yes, because it worked to an acceptable level and at vg VFM.
So I think the points about Kiev are that:
- the range of services will be limited
- you can choose to pay what you want
- if you don't see before you buy it will probably be pot luck (and reassuring expensive may not help). However, at the prices offered - does it matter?
- if you see before you buy then it will be more like low end uk prices
A suggestion to Admin. If we could have review sections for outside the UK, it would significant help the lonely traveler and encourage some sorely needed sharing of information.
I hope to return but can't say when. In the meantime, if any of the Kiev regulars might want to share a recommendation or two feel free.
