The thing is, a Rolex, or a Ferrari or an Aquariva are status symbols that you show off to your peers to show how successful you are, so maybe a trophy wife would fall into that category but not a prostitute. No one wants to show off a prostitute. They are to satisfy a need for sex, just as a £5 Casio can satisfy your need to know the time, as well as a £3000 Rolex.
Agree and disagree. A Rolex is a status symbol because it is reliable, accurate and works at extremes. A Ferrari because it goes fast and puts a great big smile on your face (well, I imagine it would). No idea what an Aquariva is. The point is, sometimes it's worth shelling out for something because it makes *you* feel better, not because you are desperate to go "ooh, look what's on my wrist".
As to the fact that WGs are there to satisfy a need for sex, so's my right hand - and it's often a darn sight more attractive, cleaner and reliable than some of the cheaper WGs. Granted, anything over £150 an hour is getting a little much, but some of the cheaper girls I've seen over the years to fulfil that need have been in dodgy, almost squalid accommodation, have had questionable hygiene, appalling breath, etc., etc. I'd rather go for quality over quantity.
