Pharmacists can refuse to give you a pharmacy-dispensed over-the-counter drug for instsnce if they think you'll misuse it.

Out of curiosity can pharmacists reject giving the tablets on age?

I am constantly stressed by work and in my 30's so have a little trouble getting it up sometimes. I want to use it but always seemed a bit embarrassed.

I asked my GP and he said I need to exercise more and eat green vegetables (I go to gym 4x a week and my diet is healthy on par with that). He seemed reluctant to give it to me.

What shall I do?

Hi Mate, you make it difficult for yourself. Why not just buy it online. They will provide you questionnaires, make up the answer an online prescription will be issued for you and you buy it from them. Sorted.

My experience is GPs are reluctant to give it as a NHS prescription. But if you specifically ask for a private prescription for it. They will give you it.

But really I am not sure why you don't just pop along to your local Asda. They have leaflets outside their pharmacist on Erectile Dysfunction.

Just pick up the leaflet and say I want to speak to the pharmacist about this. The pharmacist will immediately start talking about giving you a prescription for Sildenafil. Its a 10min chat for the tablets.

If you are worried just go to an Asda outside of your usual area.

Hi AnthG

Its in generic new so its quite literaly different all over the country.

One person posted they managed to get 4x100mg tablets for £2.50. Other people have said £5 for 4x100mg tablets. And others have paid £10.

I would say the consensus is, expect to pay £10 for 4x100mg tablets. And its a case of you have scored lucky if you get them cheaper than this

But just as another site to look over. I just found this site claiming to sell them at 85p a tablet for the real stuff. You just need to go through an online chat to get them.

From googling there has been one or two horror stories about them. But it seems they are definitely legit. Here is one story in the express newspaper about them last year

THOUSANDS of patients face weeks without vital medicines after Britain’s biggest online pharmacy went into what has been described as "meltdown".

Which really for ED medication used just for punting, the above story is no end of the world situation. We are not talking about medication where if you do not take it you will suffer.

I am a community health nurse and I have had several patients with erectile dysfunction. I know it is not an easy thing to discuss, however, when it comes to my patients, I always make sure that they are comfortable whenever they share stories with me. I have had one patient who is a diabetic. He was quite young too, and it was not easy for him, for his sex life, that he is experiencing erectile dysfunction at a young age. He has overcome ED because of the medications he was taking. Viagra was safe for him, according to his doctor. He initially purchased his medications at the hospital pharmacy. However, upon checking the online pharmacies in the UK, he found [Removed by admin] as a reliable online pharmacy which supplied authentic erectile dysfunction drugs. He didn't want his parents to know about his condition, so he remarked that it should be shipped and packaged discreetly. He was not disappointed with their services. Now, this patient is quite content because he is able to control his symptoms through the medications he was prescribed with.

Thank you for your input. Of course the first concern might be, is this person genuine, or are they promoting a website? I had a look at the website. It is not the cheapest (12 x 100mg sildenafil £35) but not outrageously priced either. What struck me was the openness where it declares:
Quote
The listed price for each product is all inclusive, covering the cost of your medicine, consultation, and express delivery on Mondays to Fridays.
I've seen many sites that disguise the added cost of consultation until the booking is almost complete. Their credentials, phone number, email and physical address are also readily available so all in all they look pretty genuine and reliable. Maybe there will be some customer feedback on this website too. (I buy my medications from abroad, from a trusted pharmacy, at a fraction of this price, but I understand not everyone would want to do that).

Kind regards.

Just been shopping and was told they have changed their pricing structure. You now pay per prescription, and by strength, rather than by the number of pills, so 16 50Mg tablets cost me £9! That's 32 shags for me as I cut them in half. This was in Scotland so I've no idea if it is nationwide.

Now that's what I call a bargain. :yahoo:  No point in going anywhere near a potentially dodgy supplier at these rates.

A completely unscientific search on Google suggests 5 mg Cialis = 25 mg Viagra / Kamagra. Maybe a pharmacist would have a better answer.

The tablets are cheaper.
That's correct. The industry standard equivalence is 20mg cialis = 100mg viagra

That sounds an excellent UK price -- roughly £1 per 100mg. Did you actually buy them?

A lot cheaper than Lloyds External Link/Members Only

Here's a External Link/Members Only that includes Dr Fox and Pharmacy2U
eg Generic 50mg x 8   Dr Fox, £16.20, Pharmacy2U £40.00 (and Lloyds also quotes £40)
Although it is produced by Dr Fox, they do claim to be cheaper.

According to Superdrug, Lloyds charge an extra £20 for telephone consultation.
It's getting to be like mobile phones, with prices changing every minute!

Here's the BNF prices (Base price paid by the NHS) so you can see the fucking mark-up!:
BNF Pfizer's Viagra:
25 mg, net price 4-tab pack = £16.59
25 mg 8-tab pack = £33.19
50 mg, 4-tab pack = £21.27
50 mg, 8-tab pack = £42.54
100 mg, 4-tab pack = £23.50
100 mg, 8-tab pack = £46.89

BNF Sildenafil citrate (generic Viagra)
25 mg, net price 4-tab pack = £1.06
25 mg, 8-tab pack = £2.09
50 mg, 4-tab pack = £1.14
50 mg, 8-tab pack = £2.23
100 mg, 4-tab pack = £1.22
100 mg 8-tab pack = £2.32

This begs the question, if you are buying a large amount at once, it might be worth paying your GP for a private prescription, as the chemist will normally only charge BNF prices on top of that.

I still use a private arrangement with an Indian pharmacy I've used for years, partly for convenience and choice. But you have to shop around to find this sort of thing. (small selection of many brands and unbranded just to give you an idea:)
eg £27.05 for 30 x 100mg sildenafil tablets
£31.46 for 30 100mg sildenafil chewable tablets
£33.28 for 20 sachets 100mg Kamagra (sildenafil) oral jelly, various flavours
£29.34 for 30 x 20mg tadalafil (generic Cialis) tablets
£35.63 for 30 soft gels 20mg capsules tadalafil (generic cialis)
£38.85 for 24 tablets Super P Force (100mg sildenafil + 60mg dapoxetine, which delays ejaculation)

Did you actually buy them?

Of course  :)  Funniest thing was, the end of the 10-minute consultation, he told me how the pricing worked, then I had to say how many I wanted, from 4 to 16. Like I was going to ask for 4 for £9 rather than 16 for £9.  Seems like a weird way to do business but what do I care.

FFS I hope not, it was a middle aged bloke with a beard. Not my type  :D

He did it all online and kept saying it was their public website, available to everyone. He did say they were essentially a front-man (pimp?) for a drug sales company Called Dr. 'Something or other', so I guess it's possible that other Adsas work with other companies and prices may differ as a result.

I can't seem to check out when put sidenafil in my basket on pharmacy2u.co.uk at 85p a tablet
After I do doctor consultation it's prices is over £40

Total bollocks from pharmacy2u.co.uk. They should be more transparant from the beginning.
So It seems Dr Fox is still cheaper then.

Regarding ASDA I never be able to get 100 mg Sildenafil for less than £2 per tablet, let alone £1 per tablet. It seems the price on ASDA is very random.

The true cost of 16X100mg Sildenafil with Dr Fox is £36.30 (including prescription of £5 and p&P).
Anyone could find any better than this please share your knowledge. Thanks

Had a weird side effect from sildnafil earlier. Previously, I've not had any issues aside from a very mild headache occasionally.
Took one at tea time before an early evening punt and I felt fine afterwards. However, towards end of my drive home it was dark and the motorway was recently resurfaced with very clean/clear/bright cats-eyes. As I passed them, they sort of streaked past me. It was very trippy, bit like being in Starship Enterprise warping  past a load of stars and galaxies. It was very distracting so I had to slow down and take my specs off to blur and fuzzy effect out.
Don't think I'll drive in the dark after taking a blue pill again.

If you lift weights it has a massive increase on your sex drive after a couple of months of going to the gym regularly

Get and fuck  a flesh light . Wanking  is no good for you . You get use to how tight your hand is and thus builds cardiovascular .

I thought the max they can prescribe on the NHS was 4 x 50mg

Being over 60 I now get free presciptions so I asked for Viagra. The doctor said he can prescribe 4 x 25 mg per month of Sildenafil so obviously he did not expect me to be very busy in that department. However, I can order prescriptions on line and always select the checkbox for them and so far my requests have never been refused.

When I first took Sildenafil I found 25 mg was enough, but now I take 50 mg just to be on the "safe side".

Can one take a dose which is too high that it stops working? (apart from the increased side effects)

Also what happens if you take say 10mg Cialis (for a long lasting effect and more "natural" erections) and 25mg-50mg Viagra (for rock hard erections when you need it)?

Only if you get a hard-on for so many hours you get gangrene in your cock or something (one case recorded). But of course some idiot will find a way to fuck himself up.

No problem. Though it probably depends on your own metabolism. It works the way you suggest though personally with that scenario I prefer simply a larger dose of cialis. Vardenafil is my preference for a top up due to zero side effects and no food interactions but others have different preferences so just see what suits you.

It's worth mentioning in case you didn't already know. In the leaflet that comes with Sildenadil it states not to take it at the same time as other ED medication. Also the pharmacist warns me about this each time I go to Asda to restock my Sildenafil stash. Now what you put in your body and the risks you wish to take is your own business - but be careful.

Sidenafil does seem to trigger something related to GERD for me if alcohol touches my lips. Basically not burping  but more croaking can ensue. 1 or 2 bottles of beer is fine but seems they have some ingredient that can promote heartburn type symptoms.

Indeed it does. Remember it was the first generation of ED  drugs. Cialis 'improved' on the side-effects concerns and vardenafil got rid of them altogether. I've not seen viagra pills bigger than 100mg and that's maybe the reason. (As i've said before, if you get heartburn, take ranitidine).

The reason in most cases why the leaflets of all drugs tell you not to exceed the stated dose is the assumption that the doctor has prescribed a certain dose and you 'ought to stick to it.' These days many people are effectively self-medicating and it does no harm to learn a bit about the drugs. Tadalafil (cialis) is made in strengths up to 60mg for instance (20mg is equivalent to 100mg viagra); but if you get a packet of 20mg (commonest) or even 5mg it will tell you not to exceed the stated dose. In fact it probably says that on most OTC meds. Just sometimes you have to know it's true, whatever the reality. Paracetamol is fucking dangerous if you take a lot. Viagra has more side effects that cialis or levitra, and taking too much gives you a) more side effects and b) maybe more of a boner than you want. But be sendible ffs. If you have delicate health, experiment with exceeding care. Everyone reacts slightly differently to any drug. Get to know the drug, get to know your body, and get to know how your drug works with your body. No amount of advice can make up for that.

Hey Steve,

I've used them before ages ago but made a purchase on Monday and didn't get any email confirmation or anything. Checked my bank today and it doesn't look like any money is gone, called the numbers on their website but the lines are not manned. So i'm shitting bricks right now expecting the worst and will probably call my bank to cancel the card.

If you want absolute safety most supermarkets now have online pharmacies but are expensive.

I have found after much research that the best UK source for generic Sildenifil is    External Link/Members Only. I order 100mg tabs that I divide in two and get 32  tabs for £51.40. This price is including the online consultation and prescription. After dividing the the tabs in two this works out at £1.59 per 100mg tablet or 80p per 50mg tablet. If you only need 25 mg  a pack should last you a year They regularly have offers on where they reduce cost of  the private prescription and I have got 32 tablets as cheap as £41 which I have never seen cheaper anywhere that is a legal UK Website. these people have bricks and morter shops in  oxford (Frosts Pharmacy) so you know you are dealing with a real company. I used to go to Asda and Tesco to get my tablets but you have to go through a consultation  which is time consuming and the price is considerably more. They send it 48 hour recorded delivery

I know two WGs who sell Viagra, 100mg tabs, one sells at £3 a tab and the other £2.50 a tab. The £3 one is genuine Pfizer Viagra, the £2.50 is a generic substitute. I have no idea where they get them from, I have never asked, but they always have a ready supply.

For what it's worth I've just tried Direct-Kamagra UK & it went very smoothly. I paid £25.19 for 20x 20mg Cialis which works out at £1.30 a pill or 65p a time as I cut them in half. They seem ok as they have the same effect as the genuine product purchased elsewhere & I'm still alive so I don't think they contain anything noxious.

They were delivered the day after I ordered them even though I stuck with the free shipping option. The only issue was that the first credit card I tried didn't work so I had to use another. On the website they do warn that some banks may decline the transaction.
