I don't know if the Hungarian girls are still there or have been replaced but;

I was visiting last night, on a non-punting matter, and it seems that the barrier has been replaced by a solid wooded gate, so you can no longer duck under it!

Thanks for the update CB, it seems your Stalag comment is right on the button, that and Colditz or Alcatraz 
The girls may have to move on, luckily I've been there done that and got my Mark 2 T shirt

The barrier is there still and is used during the day and early evening, but later and overnight they use the wooden barrier gate for added security.

Appreciate that and perhaps this plan was devised by our friendly neighbourhood concierge 
My thoughts..... safe to live in but used as a punting venue, maybe not
