Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but unfortunately I missed it at the time and it has only just been pointed out to me on another thread.

I suppose 75 isn`t bad really, but, as we used to say in my National Service days - get some service in laddy. It may well be that I haven`t the punting experience of the OP, as I only started out of loneliness a year or so after my wife died and after 50 years of very happy married life, but it has been a fairly steady 7 years or so of regular punting since then.

I am now 86, still punting regularly (although I stick to a regular who suits me down to the ground), I don`t need pills of any sort to get me up to speed and can go for an hour when I wish to. When I can  no longer do this on my own, then I can fall back on the little blue pills, and they should keep me at it for another few years, so all in all, and with a bit of luck, I expect to be interrupted `on the job` to be told the telegram has arrived from Her Majesty in 14 years time.

Kudos to you Sir!!   I remember back in 2009/10 I went to a 'Sacred Rose' (a sort of precursor of LMP)  Party at their then place in Earls Court...and met a guy who told me his next birthday was 80.....not you by any chance???

Just 75 HP, still getting what pleasure I can from time to time. So I don't perform quite as well, who cares, I enjoy it and they are getting paid. A few have actually declined on age grounds, fair enough but most have made it enjoyable, so I'll carry on carrying on a while longer.

Only started a year ago in my mid 60's after a decade of illness induced abstinence and an OH who long ago lost any interest due to a long draining menopause . I now have couple of regs ( mixed with one offs) who I feel are keeping age at bay and giving me purpose to hang in there.

In 2016 I was 62 and now I am 68 heading for 69 and this thread promises I have a chance to go into my 80’s God willing which is great news for me.

The wgs I see are all ages from 18 to late 50’s but what is interesting is looking back at old punts from say 2016 and realising the 24yo I saw then is now a 30yo etc etc. Of course I know wgs get older just like us. I saw stephanie secrets in 2014 as a pretty 38yo and she is still cracking along at 46 albeit carrying a few more pounds 

The other thing is when I started, wgs had to be born in 1996 or earlier in order to be legal age whereas now it can be as late as 2004. I remember the fun when there was considerable excitement about bagging your first millennial around 2018.

As for ability, even when I was 50, I had days when the old man refused to cooperate. Then again in recent years the same old man was working absolutely fine. So it is always a toss of the dice for me when I go into a punt, sometimes brilliant other times a happy ending is the route.
