AdultWork Independent - really???

I see lots of girls with adverts on AW that are in groups, claiming to be independent. Really? Are they really just together in a group and doing their own thing, or in reality are they being managed? Some of their profiles mention similar things and when you email them, some of their replies are too similar to be written my different people.

Call me a cynic, but I think these people in groups have a 'manager' looking after them and therefore surly taking some of their money.

What do you think? Am I reading too much into this?

I think what some girls call independent means they keep all the money for a punt but essentially they have to pay sergie to manage the web/adverts and a fee towards accommodation or so I was lead to believe by a Hungarian that was possibly Romanian

Romanian girls would not have the capability or money to arrange a flight to the UK, Working flat, Accommodation, Mobilke phone, AW profile and manage bookings, as such they are unlikely to be independent

This is one of the many problems of AW. Lots of  profiles say they are indie when they aren't. For example I would say that maybe more than half of the AW advertisers in Sheffield are based in parlours or work for agencies. So there aren't that many indies in the area.
Some of the orientals I was looking at recently claim to be indie and in their own places, but it subsequently turns out that they are based in a brothel that changes girls regularly.

It does look like they are being managed by someone. I'd avoid those sort of profiles.

Some like me have a group as they also have a duo profile so it is easier to log in as group manager and be able to answer emails on both profiles at the same time rather than logging in to two seperate profiles.   Some girls have a group solely because it is much cheaper to advertise group of the day than it is for escort of the day so they all pay a small amount to put the group in the front page rather than the stupid amount it costs to be escort of the day

Indeed, ANY WG could have a pimp for all I would know, the pimp advertises the WG as an Indie in the hope the police don't take any notice so he or she doesn't get nicked. And by pimp I don't mean the WG is being forced as I believe that is rare fortunately, what I do believe is many WGs couldn't possibly afford to rent a premises so work for a pimp at least initially, some for a long time.

Interesting. I steer clear of the promoted profiles "featured prossie" or however the fuck they term it as I thought they were dusty-phone WGs making a last-ditch attempt to pull in new customers (having failed to secure any regulars or gain good reviews on the forums). I guess not all punters think the same way.
