Std's and regular checks

Was just wondering how often any of you guys get tested? and if anything ever was caught?

I am a bit of a paranoid punter myself, im sure i am not the only one, i will admit that and it often takes away the from the experience especially after, from guilt etc

But its an important subject and a search of "std's" brought up the last post on it in 2014? may of done a crap search but any way

Punting is no place for the paranoid. Even if you test yourself every week you will still worry as you wave goodbye to the escort. You need to get over it, wear a condom for everything, or go back to civvie.

Worrying about it just kills any enjoyment of the punt.......

Never have a problem in 20 years of punting lucky me, still take a trip through the tunnel every 3 months to the GUM, then have a hospital breakfast to remind me how shit life can get !

Think it's STI you need to search for now. Started going every 3 mths. Found Sexual Health Clinic (in town not local but accessible for me) better than general GUM clinic in hosp. Less judgemental, heard/seen it all before.

Of course STD used to mean Subscriber Trunk Dialling, when that was a new thing, but in those days the things you are talking about were called VD and treated in a "Special Clinic". Don't know what they were called before that.

Sensible punters will get tested regularly be that monthly or at least quarterly, you would have to be a bit of a lemon to not get down the gum once in a while

The only STD's I ve ever caught have been from civvie birds.

Was told if want accurate testing for HIV and Hepatitis that should abstain from sex for 3 months.

I would only do this if my condom split during sex or my dick somehow touched her wet vagina.

Imagine having to abstain for 3 months, whats the point of punting.

If you can clearly see with your naked eyes anything on your penis or feel pain down there then go to your clinic.
Otherwise just avoid bareback sex and in my opinion rimming.

If you want to be super safe then avoid oral without, rimming and anal.

Hep B isn't an issue if you get vaccinated.One less thing to be concerned about,and that's a rare thing in this fucked up world.

the easiest way to reduce risk is to get vaccinated. I am suprised more people dont. Diseases like HPV, genital warts and Hep B (are incurable but )can be immunised against . Vaccines are way more effective than condoms. But still always wear a condom!!!

With the exception of aids which (if you  use a condom you are highly unlikely to ever catch) everything else is curable with a weeks worth of antibiotics.

Im genuinely surprised more people dont get immunised these vaccinesa are available right now and its usually just an injection that gives you protection for 10 years and can be done on the NHS.


if you are punter or WG out there do yourself a favour and get your shots and you can automatically eliminate a lot of the unnecessary risk.

Are you talking about the hep b vaccine?  If you tell them you are a punter it's generally offered as standard

yeah just go to a hospital or clinic and ask for it, one shot lasts for 10 years and will help give you greater peace of mind. You can also vaccinate against HPV if you are within a certain age range which means you will be immune to  HPV which is essentially what gives people genital warts. Im stunned there are working girls and punters that dont vaccinate themselves but yeah def recommend for all and if you let them know you are a punter or working girl they can let you have it on the NHS

Most WG's will have had the HPV at age 13 unless their tree hugging parents withdrew them from the standard vaccination schedule.

Got the Hep B one at uni myself, 3 jabs in total
