So sounds like Gambia isnt as good for P4P as it used to be before? Too many girls posing and not looking to meet rich older white men?

Think this is the forum thread you meant:

Just to expand a bit on toon, the only thing you can rely on is cash. There are virtually no card transactions. Even getting money out of the two or three cash machines is hit snd miss (mostly miss).

Just an fyi if you’re thinking of going, I believe ramadan is feb/march this year so if things arent already quiet that might just make them so, especially if the imported hookers have vanished

Thanks for your info.

So last night and night before i purposely ventured out to check out the whore houses and street scene. I was being quoted around 2500d (currently £1=99d; i have been just getting money out of ATMs which is giving me 94d and exchange office i am able to get 96).

I think i could have managed 1500d. Anyway, at about 3am as i was walking home i saw a really hot girl. She quoted me 2500d but agreed to 1000d. We went to her room (Nigerian-avoid Nigerians they say here and now i know why). In the room she wouldn't get fully naked because i haven't paid her enough (she took the money upfront - rookie mistake that i agreed but i was not thinking straight because Gambia is so safe and easy going that i had my guard down). She gets a condom (so sex was clearly on the cards). She starts to give me handjob to get me hard and she has absolutely no interest in  what she is doing and just looking around the room. Clearly she knows what she is doing.

After about 5 minutes of that, i just said screw it.. you just lost 30,000D because i would have taken you everyday i am there in Gambia. And i left... I can give myself a better HJ than she ever could 😂

So here is what i found:
* A street scene called 'tangara' or something which is somewhere a very short tuk tuk ride from Tropic shopping centre. Many things are named'tangara' here so might not be easy to find. Not a single girl was attractive. 10-12 girls scattered around
* A street scene near kololi police station. Basically, you walk away from the beach onto Palma Rima road, then onto Kololi road and eventually (15 minutes) you will get to Liberia bar. The street on the right had a couple of attractive girls. 10-12 girls all next to each other

Rooms in both the above places were 400d. I paid the tuk tuk 150d to take me to both the places from Tropic and back.

I paid 350d to tuk tuk guy to take me to Liberia bar plus below:
* There's a drinking place near Fadera Drug Store (C7XW+F8R, Serrekunda) where you can talk to the freelancers directly. Butt ugly. Asked about girl prices but manager said i need to check directly with the girls
* A couple of really rough looking places. Here you can imagine a 100 men in one big bar, courtyard and about 15 women in each of the places. It's Class 1 girls (C8V8+6J3, Serrekunda) and there's one across the street. Again, this place is rough. Locals are probably paying 1000 or is less including girl and accommodation

The tuk tuk driver says it all gets going after midnight after the women have tucked their kids into bed. I went to Liberia bar place around 2am on Friday/Sat night but it was dead-police were in the area checking immigration stats, etc

Matched with a few girls on Tinder. One quoted 4000d.. i laughed at her. Another one, i actually met her randomly at her bar where she is a waitress and she was totally my type. She came over to my apartments and i gave her 1000d.

Then she started asking "it's my birthday and i want you to gift me 2000d so i can take out my friends'. Not a big amount and might be worth the investment as i like her. For now i have told her she needs to spend more time with me before asking for gifts.

The hotel reception guy hooked me up with his 'sister' who is a 'home[ly]' girl . She came straight to my place we went to coffee and then back to mine to watch a movie. Bought us chicken and fries delivered. She was getting closer and closer to me, letting me touch her and stuff. I then went for the kiss.. no go. But she was happy and wants to meet again. She is looking to get married and so yeah potentially a good girl. Not sure i want to pursue and play the long game just for sex

But that's the best way.. to tell people you are looking for a girl. They will bend over backwards to hook you up. Security guards, fruit sellers, shop keepers.. they all know a good girl. I just don't know if i have the patience for that.

Finally, nightlife in general. It's real bad! I was in Palma Rima at midnight on Friday. Empty! Senegambia was the usual level of busy but as i said previously. Totally full of guys. Or girls just sitting in groups or the bar trying to look cool. I won't be going out anymore.

You are a far far braver man than me to try the scene near kololi where the street girls are. I've ventured in these places just to have a look and it's way too dodgy for me. I've heard some very bad stories about Nigerians and robbers and spiking to even go into the buildings there.

What you said about people trying to hook you up is true though. I had people in almost every restaurant in Senegambia telling me they had single friends although this wasn't escorts just normal women.....

And regarding the nightlife there. As you said it can seem dead.... I'm very surprised your getting quoted prices on tinder though I hooked up with lots of women there and obviously met a lot more and it was so rare they even asked me for a penny.... Almost every meeting I just paid for dinner and job done....

But the information you said is useful.... But again I would totally avoid these areas especially at night. A guy I know was stabbed in the side of his back in kololi doing the exact same thing as you was doing.

Crikey TG is not heading downhill its falling off the face of a cliff

I went there forever ago - trailer in tow - so no paid for action
Other than a massage
In some hut on a beach with a late teens lovely sitting outside with a sign massage / price in handwriting on a piece of cardboard
I hope she was late teens tho as it turned out i needn;t be concerned
Which me & the ex walked past to the sun loungers
I mentioned to the ex that she might give me an afternoon massage [with the obvious intention of a HE or shag]
She replied that we'd just got to the beach she was hungover & wanted to have a snooze then read her book
Basically no action but that i could try my luck in the hut
That a HJ would be ok to save her having to do it, tho no BJ or sex - too many diseases
I thought fuck it i'll go for it after having been given the green light, good girl  :hi:
It was about £3 for 15 mins not by the young fittie but her grannie [who looked about 100 & had no teeth, a gummy job  :scare: ]
Quite a good massage TBF & grannie used some really nice natural based oil aloe vera based well thats what they called it
Anyways the ex had a laarf when i recounted my lack of HE
A lovely place lovely people & pretty safe unless you were stupid, things have clearly descended more so recently

To be on the safe side on foreign punting in hot climes i'll stick to Marbs / Fingerhola and the incredibly safe but incredibly expensive Dubai

I think it's safe enough.... Atleast at the tourism areas.... But kololi area or any back streets are a different kind of thing once it gets dark. And even during the day can get you an awful lot of looks.
.
Maybe the 3rd time I went there I met a girl from pipeline (near the mosque) and she stayed over a couple of nights in a row but obviously run out of clothes and we had arranged to go out that evening as she was back at work the next day so we went to her street but it was dark at this point and it was dodgy to say the least. She wouldn't even let me walk to the shop that was literally 30 to 40 seconds away as she said it wasn't safe and it actually looked like it wasn't.

Huge walls everywhere. Every wall covered in glass to stop people climbing over and huge metal gates everywhere.... When I went in turned out to be a family compound made into apartments and yeah.... Considering pipeline isn't actually a bad area (2 minutes walk to American Embassy) they told me it wasn't even safe to go out holding a mobile phone there.

But kololi itself is actually known for crime.... Didn't spend much time there myself but sexual violence on women there and men touching women without asking is supposedly very very common due to the men thinking all the women there are prostitutes if there out at night.

Yeah walking through Senegambia my phone got stolen on Saturday night. Luckily, i noticed it straight away and grabbed the guy and gave him a big shove. He dropped my phone and then i started yelling police police

He had an accomplice (i have noticed these kind of people work in twos or more no matter where in the world.

The accomplice grabbed the pickpocket and they walked into the crowd.  As i mentioned previously, i look like the rock so usually be people are scared of me, but of course the crazy ones won't be and there's always a chance of a knife.

I have been going on loads of dates with pretty hot girls around 19-22. But they get in the restaurant and want to order lobster and steak. Just so that they can put it on their social media to look cool. I have just had to outright say no.

Then they come back to place without any resistance, but i am 99.99% these are not prostitutes because they haven't asked me money, i have just given then a 100d or 200d to get a taxi back to their place. We didn't kiss or anything. They are usually self proclaimed Virgins. They say they are looking for a husband (not necessarily me, it was just a date to check each other out).

Will be happy to leave here soon and back to London. I think mongering around the world, like how it used to be, is pretty much dead. Just as well, because i thought it's something that would be available to me all my life if i so chose this path. So i am kinda glad that i only have one option which is to go on normal dates with normal women in London and go through the BS that that path comes with (and the fruits and rewards too)

The classic 'I'm a virgin' trick for a free dinner and no sex :angelgirl:. I take it that you won't be returning.

I too suffered this in Gambia haha.... Although as soon as they mentioned virgin I made my excuses and left anyway. In fact I then got used to actually asking them upfront and if they said yes I simply wouldn't meet them....

And what this guy said is true.... Many many Gambians are so damn phone obsessed it's unreal. They will take a hundred photos in your apartment a hundred in the restaurants and even in the damn toilet.... It was another one of my warning flags actually as it's so distracting to me trying to speak to someone who's doing that.

Definitely the right course of action. I also very much doubt that a real virgin will be out meeting older white men for dinner. To me it's a clear declaration of intent - no sex.

It's the same in all poorer countries;
1. She has a local boyfriend and just wants dinner;
2. She's showing off for friends - look at this lobster!;
3. She's angling for a boyfriend/husband as she's a 'good girl' - aka send me money every month, why don't we buy a house;
4. All of the above!

Anyone intending to head over after Ramadan? Judging from the thread it seems most just leave it till next season.

Nah. I won't be travelling this year to there now...

Flight prices for month stays are coming up at almost 800 quid with just one bag. Prices I'm getting quoted for decent accommodation is up 25 percent almost. Also at the end of tourist season it can be a bit boring to be honest. Realistically we are talking an extra 700 pounds compared to last year on average I'm being quoted for same flights and same accommodation. Obviously food costs ect will have increased too. I checked the prices for Ghana yesterday and it would probably be a thousand pounds cheaper to spend the same amount of time there.

Not a hard choice then. Do you know from your local contacts if the place is busy with non-British visitors or if it's just dead?

Offline Houngan

At the moment obviously it will be quiet. When I say Ramadan is quiet.... I mean it's very quiet. I'm sure there will be an increase before the end of April though. But the peak season has basically gone now... It will still be busy but obviously the terrorism stuff is driving some price increases on flights even in what should be a safe country due to cancellations and people looking for alternatives. I think it's actually possible that Gambia might be busier as I've heard some absolute horror story's about Thailand flights right now.... And it's gonna make people look for alternatives.

You should be fine though technically to go at the start of April for example... It won't be dead. Just isn't peak. I've visited all the way up to June but as soon as it hits may..... Many places are half day opening or fully closed.

Also TUI flights from Manchester are for some reason showing at a thousand pounds per person.... I've never seen it anywhere near this high so I would imagine this will put many off.

Without wanting to get in to politics going to a predominantly muslim country @ the mo ?, really
Especially with rama-lama-ding-dong
I've been there many moons ago luvved it
The country is now corrupt this includes the rozzers
& reading on here things are not heading in the right direction
On the beaches there are cows wandering are a novelty once you realize that whilst inquisitive you are but fine unless displaying scaredy cat behaviour un-nerving them
On the other hand Dubai overall IMO is much safer even with all that is going on
I'll happily lie on the beach on a sun lounger & rather than incoming cows watch incoming ordinance getting taken out & trying to figure out where the stuff might land
I'm feeling wasted whatevva
& now paying loads more for the privilege in TG
I missed the boat on TG 5-10 years ago
I'll stick to Marbs the costa del sex Dubs later in the year when it will inevitably become cheaper

Well it's normally country's with us bases.... But saying that the us embassy is in pipeline so you never know...

None the less the flight increases and cost of apartments have totally put me off. I just checked now and I'm tempted at going back to Ghana but will see. ..

Also just to be aware. I'm on Facebook groups all over Gambia.... The Iran war the people are definitely on Iran's side including encouraging the rocket attacks on American warships and Israel and countries like Dubai. Thousands of posts and thousands of replys.... It's not really encouraging.

Just been back for work via Brussels.

The saddest evening was heading down to Kotu Beach for dinner at one of my Gambian mate's favourite places on the beach. He's an older man now, early 70s.

The hassle he got from kids demanding protection money so they wouldn't fuck his car up was shameful.

That's awful. I thought they were big on 'respect the elders'.

What was it like otherwise? I know the main tourist season is over but do you know if it had been busy before Ramadan?

Absolutely horrible. But not surprising. There has been mass gang attacks before Ramadan in some areas where large groups of kids aged between 12 and 17 have mugged and attacked many people for there items. I believe one of the areas was near brusubi but it happened to a few areas. There was many videos circulating online.

Muggings, burglary and theft are massively on the increase and it's not surprising. There population is increasing massively and unemployment is over 90 percent when you don't take into account street sellers and people that sell fruits in there neighbourhoods when these people make basically zero. My friends daughter applied for a job at king baker for 2500 a month and was told there was over 700 applications....

Also obviously sea deaths are increasing due to desperation to reach Europe....

If you go to Gambia you will notice literally every compound has spikes or glass bottles covering there walls and every window and door has huge metal barriers. There is a reason for this.... The second you leave Senegambia this is a totally different country and sooner or later it's going to be targeted more at tourists...

Some areas literally have 90+ percent in poverty and are eating once every 3 days...

Offline Cambridgy

My mate is Senegalese - worked as a doctor in the Gambia for over twenty five years - his attitude was, "I might have delivered you - you little shit' but not being in their face.

Not a care given - they were "Dinaa génn paaka"

Wow. At some point the police will crack down on that and end up killing one of them with a beating.

Was that full time? I thought wages at that level were from pre-lockdown! No wonder people are desperate.

Yes this is full time. I also know a guy that works in a restaurant in kotu. Very popular place mainly known for desserts. He works 38 hours a week and this is 6 days. So obviously not 9 to 5 but still 38 hours and only has Wednesday off. He gets 3000 per month. No transport allowance and no food included. And again when these jobs come up your talking hundreds of applicants.

And yes your right the wages havnt really increased in years. Even the police officers wages are absolutely appalling..again I know a female police officer and she has shown me a picture of her wage slip.... 4400 a month and some of that is including transport allowance and food allowance....

And I can tell you now. Things are not cheap there.... I honestly have no idea how people do it.
