This group always work in the same way, all comms by email until the day of the booking, call you (withheld) to confirm you're on your way, then another withheld call on arrival to give the room number.

Not sure why you need the room number before you travel, if they gave it out beforehand then anyone malicious could either pester them with repeated calls on the hotel phone, or even worse contact the hotel and out the girl.

My experience is the exact opposite, room number on arrival (for the reasons set out above).

See your point , but you have to put yourself in the girls position, she's alone in a hotel room in a strange city and a strange man possibly twice her size , she has no control over what happens once that door is open. Thankfully nothing much more than sex happens but these things are all this girl can do to try to make things run smoothly and safely , it's about there peace of mined and diverting the time wasters away so genuine punters can visit safely .

In my eyes there has to be some trust between both parties

No suggestion of that from me, but there are a lot of them out there so I suspect your experience is unusual. Good luck to you if you can make that happen, but Ashlee and her friends are usually pretty reliable so you might want to make an exception.
