I just wanted to recommend this clinic.
External Link/Members OnlyI phoned this place after reading about Dean Street on the London boards. I got given an appointment within 48 hours of the phone call (ie: you'll be in the room with the Doc within 48 hours).
There is plenty of pay & display parking nearby. The clinic is very discreet down by the bus station, easy to find.
The reception staff are good. The Doctors and Nurses are very good and professional IMHO. I was very honest and upfront in explaining what I had been up to
This was a good thing as I had more probing and testing than if I had spared my blushes. I did try and find out if they have much experience of punters and prostitutes but they weren't very forthcoming just nodded yes. The Nurse, I thought, had a negative personal view on my escapades from her answers/body language. However they were still very professional. As others have related, it is the only time I've mentioned punting to a civilian. It does go against every instinct to say ' I have sex with prostitutes' even to a GUM Doctor.
I had Q&A about activites and medical history. A throat swab. A thorough check of the apparatus. Including a good visual inspection down the pipe, but no swab by the Doc with Nurse watching the procedings. Urine test, blood sample taken for testing which was very quick. It isn't the most pleasant experiance but it is only momentary.
I did mention about the Dean St fiasco, the Doctor said it was bad. And that I could trust them
I gave as little info as I could. My real name, postcode (as their system requires it) and my punting phone no.
In and out in less than 45 mins. All in all a good place to go.
